Great place to start your financial career

I have been working at Invesco

    Pros

The company is looking to become a leader in the investment market. If you're looking for a place to start your career this is definitely the place.

    Cons

IT help desk is awful. You will spend your first couple of weeks not being able to do much because you don't have access to any systems or drives. This problem will persist throughout your time here as you seek to get access to more and more systems.

I have been working at Invesco full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Some really good people to work with, Good benefits in general.

    Cons

No to place to go. Actual roles versus titles are misleading, many of those that are to be coaches are also players. New manager training is non existent. Invesco will not say no to a project or initiative, so projects end up under staffed with unrealistic timelines.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest more in your people, Recognize where people are spread to thin, and make priority decisions, it is ok to say to no to some initiatives.

I have been working at Invesco full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Invesco will give you what you ask for, and what you prove you are capable of. Of course, it is a large company and moves largely as one would expect for its AUM and employee count - but where you show talent, they will let you run.

    Cons

It is a big company, and thus always squeezing efficiencies out. Expect them to watch the nickles and pennies as aggressively as the dollars.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I really only wrote this review as I stumbled onto some reviews that I did not think were fair on a job site. They are good people, and treat you fairly. Work hard, show talent, and you will be rewarded. If you are disappointed, try the mirror first.
