    Pros

Somewhat flexible in telecommuting. Salary is decent.

    Cons

Poor management. Too focused on sales instead of quality of work. Senior management is expected to sell and everyone below them is stuck with workloads that are hard to manage.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

focus more on quality work instead of quantity.

    Pros

Focused on serving the needs of our clients, it is about client's business issues we are solving and not forcing a solution but rather address their problem

    Cons

Increase collaboration across specializations, while specializations is a strength it is best leveraged with global accounts when they work closely together

I worked at Ipsos full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

They support advertisers for many of the Fortune 500 companies, and they are the best at determining the best market research campaigns for each company.

    Cons

There was not enough opportunity for career growth for employees in lower level positions despite the training that was offered, and it was difficult for employees to change career paths despite their potential.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advice to management is to look more closely at employees who try to change career paths, for example from accounting to market research, because employees should not be pidgeon-holed into their current job. After learning the general business, an employee can be trained to do a different job and still be as asset to the company.

I worked at Ipsos as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Fantastic people, good office, and very interesting work for an intern to get to do. It was a well-paid internship position, too, which was very exciting and impressive, as many companies don't value interns enough to pay them at all.

    Cons

Even as an intern, I could tell that it's a very bureaucratic company. Also, the lack of a formal intern program meant that I was the only intern in the office, which was both a blessing and a curse at times.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep doing what you're doing.

    I worked at Ipsos

    Pros

if you are straight out of college it is a great place to work because there are a lot of young people that work there and makes it easy to meet others. It is also great if you can be on the P & G Team because you will have that on your resume always and they are a great client - really a true partnership with Ipsos on the copy testing side. Most of the upper mgt is very nice - a very nice company environment overall - and the advancement opportunities are pretty clear cut - it is clear what your next role is.

    Cons

there can be a lot of competition and the pay is not great - sometimes the account managers are thrown in without knowing enough about the methodologies.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think every account manager should have to go through training of all other positions first and fully understand methodology.

    Pros

Exciting and dynamic and slightly eccentric , i am so pleased i joined these people. After 5 years experience in a smaller agency this has been a revelation

    Cons

Hard work, silos and some politics - but that is inevitable in a big organisation - THE CAN DO SPIRIT AND INTENSE CURIOSITY make up for any isses

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep investing in training - it is great to be somewhere that really thinks about this
