I worked at Ixia full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Mostly positive work environment where you could talk to management and they would try their best to help you with your goals and career objectives. A lot of free snacks and decent benefits.

    Cons

Long hours. Low morale due to layoffs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Better strategic planning. LISTEN to the employees - while some of the feedback may just be gripes or requests that are not feasible given the current status of the business, there are a lot of smart people with plenty of good ideas that could help the company succeed.

    Pros

There are some great people! Every day offers new opportunities.

    Cons

As long as you allow it, Ixia will allow you to work yourself into an early grave.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I'm hopeful that the new CEO coming on in September will be afforded a true opportunity to make a difference for the better of the company and employees.

    Pros

Bright people; reasonable compensation; The CEO has engineering background so they take care of engineering

    Cons

Bad decisions at top. Everyone is expected to be a workaholic. It is difficult to have a life while working at this company. Integration of the multiple cultures between the acquisitions is not working well.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    stop acquiring

I have been working at Ixia full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Overall not a bad place to work, benefits are good.

    Cons

Can be stressful at times. Management top heavy. Seems like a lot of the good talent eventually leaves. Some departments have no idea what "TEAM" means. This used to really be the place to work a few years ago

    Pros

They are continually on the run and very focus at staying competitive in the market. Good benefits, lunch program, good pay, senior management very approachable.

    Cons

Work/life balance out of needs to improve for all departments. They are working on resolving issues and to being more considerate of life away from work.

    I worked at Ixia

    Pros

Great company to work for when no one is dependent on you. You will definitely learn a lot within a short span of time, but work becomes monotonous after that.

    Cons

Work becomes monotonous and no balance between work and personal life. From morning 9 AM till late night hours most of the employees are asked to work. And for some they do not have weekends

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please try solving the above problem. Till the employee resigns his skills are not recognized, the moment he resigns he is asked if he can take leadership position but why this kind of attitude? It used to be one of the best small compoanies to work for in the 2006-2008
