    Pros

Try to make work fun by giving pizza parties, jean days, etc.
    PTO is nice.

    Cons

I work about 70 hours a week and only get paid for 40. Not because I'm salary but because they simply don't give us enough time to do sets, coach our associates and train, take care of customer issues, fitting rooms, and recovery of the store so I go in on my day off and often work open to close while never punching in. When I approached the concerns, they said that they were letting go of a supervisor and gave me 3 departments instead. The employee discount was nice until they made the rule of unless you have a JCP card, you get a lower discount. Ridiculous if you ask me.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your associates. They are the first thing the customer sees when they walk in and the last impression they leave with the customer as they leave. If they have a concern its only because they want to take care of the customer.

    Pros

they paid on time, and the older photographers were really knowledgeable. lots to learn if you can stand the toxic work environment.

    Cons

toxic work environment. assistants were treated with disdain, yelled at for every mistake, and expected to work 12 hour days for near minimum wage. everyone there from 'the good old days' was up their own *ss with self-importance.

    Pros

There are not very many pros. One of the most boring jobs ever!

    Cons

Too much drama! This place is like being in high school. Very boring as well.

    Advice to Management

Hire younger people, the older associates are miserable an create drama.

    Pros

    Co-Workers are great hardworking people.

    Cons

Company increases prices almost daily to advertise a 20% off sale. Over 500 sales running and only 52 weeks in the year. They cannot keep up with their own prices. The employees are held accountable for accurate pricing. You will almost never find an accurate price in that store. One pay increase over the past 3 years to employees because the company had no incentive plan in place for performance or salary evaluations.

    Advice to Management

    Declare Bankruptcy Already

    Pros

They give you the ability to earn more by getting customers to sign up for the credit card. They occasionally give employee perks such as food and prizes.

    Cons

They often ignored my availability. Management did not work well as a team. Customers voiced their disdain for new store changes at the time when Ron Johnson was CEO. They also fired 8 good managers at once to cut costs. It really hurt morale and sales.

    Advice to Management

Work better as a team and show respect to employees. Also store managers should be on the floor and be required to work closing and weekend shifts.

    Pros

Discount is nice. Generally your coworkers are a joy or at least pleasant to work with. Hours are usually low, so you'll have time for things outside of work.

    Cons

Hours are inconsistent year round. Hours are usually low, so life outside of work will need to be cheap.
