Working for J.Crew was very enjoyable.

Sales Associate (Former Employee) Palm Beach Gardens, FL

ProsTo gain a thorough understanding of the retail business. J.Crew is a great company to work for. The clothing and designs are good quality and very creative.

ConsAt the particular J.Crew location I worked at the manager was letting personal issues affect her professional work environment. This had been a problem for some time and so after multiple employees spoke to upper management the issue was taken care of.

Advice to Senior ManagementUpper management was relatable and easy to talk to about any problems encountered. They also effectively handled over-bearing customers who looked to take advantage of employees.

FUN place to work and they offer the best discount for employees out of any retailer

Sales Support (Former Employee) Corte Madera, CA

ProsThey have thought of every kind of discount for their employee, its great. No reason not to wear the brand, its affordable. Co workers were so awesome to work with. Always worked with you on helping you have a schedule that works for you regarding school/kids/2nd jobs.

ConsOn-calls, not enough hours (always asking for more), they need to really implement register training

    Awesome place to work

Sales Associate (Current Employee) Baltimore, MD

ProsThere are so many reasons to work for this company if you are in retail or are interested in retail. First of all the clothes are awesome! I would describe the Jcrew style as preppy chic. I have spent the majority of my career in corporate america and have been really drawn to their clothes for work as well as casual wear. I decided to apply for a part-time job because I love their clothes and the associates styles and they have an awesome discount. It ranges from 30-75%!!

ConsIf you are looking to make any real money this is not the place for you because you are only going to average 1 to 2 shifts a week. Because I love their clothes so much as well as the awesome discount I usually owe them money every week. Also the only full time workers at Jcrew are management. Still even with the cons I would still recommend working there.
