    Pros

    -Job security
    -Customer focused
    -No unreasonable targets
-Ethical company both in how they treat disputes and source their products
-Store manager has no problems getting stuck in with the regular folk

    Cons

-Slow to employ staff on departments that really need it and expecting employees to pick up the pieces. Okay if the jobs a stopgap for you but if you're aiming for promotion you're expected to put Sainsbury's first at all costs eg. coming in on days off/holidays and working 12 hour days.
-If you're just a shop floor assistant you are still bombarded with irrelevant bureaucracy in the daily "morning huddle" because they want to look inclusive.
-They pay below the living wage
-No staff canteen anymore that made you good value for money meals meaning you have to go shopping for food on your break

    Advice to Management

Understand that the person wanting to work their way up may also have a life outside of work and if they give that up for you then show more appreciation.

    Pros

The work culture is really good and you will have a good social life. Good pay will help you to be independent even if you are working part time.

    Cons

Sometimes you might find yourself under a lot of pressure and not all team leaders are really friendly. But its a rare case.

    Pros

The job itself is not challenging so if you're looking for a job with minimal to no stress I'd highly recommend; however this is reflected with low end pay.

Lots of opportunities for over time if you need it.

    Cons

Can become monotonous after a while.

Working weekends and late nights consistently are a bit annoying.

Management is very fluid within the company meaning people don't stay in the same place too long, this can mean drastic environment changes each time senior leadership changes.

    Advice to Management

There could be more effort made to engage with colleagues on all levels of the business. Never really see any senior management from outside the store engage with colleagues that aren't managers.

    Pros

Colleagues are treated well, nice atmosphere to work in.
Liked the fact that I was in early and then away in time to spend most of the day with my kids.
    10% discount after 6 months.

    Cons

Not a job for anyone who is not a morning person as you can start at 5 or 6am.
Could get a bit monotonous if you were picking from the same dept all morning.

    Advice to Management

I had little interaction with management about progression possibilities within my dept despite having previous supervisory experience.

Colleague know if youve made any mistakes from other departments. Becareful what you also say, some may gossip but stay within ur limits course.
