I worked at Jack in the Box part-time for more than a year

    Pros

they worked with your schedule, but if you want a lot of hours (30+) this is not the place to work. They cut everyone's hours the second year I was there to save money

    Cons

as employees, we didn't work well together as a team which made work tough. the place in general was very dirty. the location was bad and attracted many rude customers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at Jack in the Box full-time for more than a year

    Pros

It is not a difficult application process. Even with very limited work history and no education it is pretty easy to get the job and work it long enough to get a better job. Also it is usually a fairly fast paced dynamic environment and can be a decent place for more high energy people to work.

    Cons

Graveyard shifts were often busy, and so understaffed that it was almost impossible to take breaks. The buzzer over the drive-through window was incredibly loud and would usually make it more difficult to hear customers orders which was ironic because the buzzer was intended to encourage us to work faster.
Between the drive through buzzer, timers for the grill and friar, and dysfunctional headsets I would often end up going home with a ringing in my ears that would disrupt my sleep. My hearing has literally never been the same. There is also very little real opportunity for advancement.

I worked at Jack in the Box full-time for less than a year

    Pros

make fast money, and secure job, because everyone quits, they'd want to keep you. Not dirty, but not clean too.

    Cons

They didn't do the whole training for me. And I worked there for 4 months. My manager told me that the floor gets dirty again, so why spend so much time. She said this, yelling, in front of customers. Also, everyone spoke Spanish. I heard my name while I'm working many times. It didn't feel very nice. A $100 bill got stolen, the manager asked everyone to cut from their checks. Unprofessional.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more organized with money, and give better training. Diversify the language and don't talk behind my back in a language I barely understand.

I have been working at Jack in the Box full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Provides great work experience, in a non hostile environment. Great first job management experience. Very easy if you speak both english and spanish and have a high school education.

    Cons

No formal training! Had to teach everything to myself. Underpaid and over worked. There was no manager at the time so I did all the work, The area coach kept postponing my manager raise so that i would continue to do the work but without the pay. Could have sued but I'm not that kind of person.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fix the crookedness and lack of following of policies and procedures.

    Pros

Level entry job, they'll hire anybody.

    Cons

Some manager have favorites and do not value hard workers.

Co-workers become rude and jealous when they realize that you are in school or will be leaving soon for a better job.
Some managers do not respect privacy and gossip about their workers, so keep your business tight.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Do not gossip with employees.
