I worked at Jackson Hewitt part-time

    Pros

Very flexible hours for regular tax preparer. As and Office Manager a 35-40 week and only small amount of overtime during the tax season

    Cons

The position is seasonal and no benefits though you work up to 40hrs status in only part-time.

    Pros

Plenty of hours according to availability. Pleasant work environment. Busy work always available. Easy to maintain pleasant clients that come back for you.

    Cons

The job only lasts four months and the pay is minimal. In a four month period working well over forty plus hours I only walked away with just over two thousand dollars, over the entire work time before taxes.

    Advice to Management

More patience, and higher rate of pay will draw back employees for the following tax season. Higher attention to employee productivity will also promote a greater desire to promote the company.

    Pros

Managers were suportive and easy to get along with. As long as you took initiative they would try to help you. I was able to get as many hours as I could handle and they reward hard work.

    Cons

Management was disorganized and I felt like there were times when I wasn't provided with enough tools to do my job effectively.

    Advice to Management

I would just try to make sure that everyone is on the same page
