    Tough decisions must be made & implemented at Jacuzzi

    ProsDiscount on baths & hot tubs; New leadership hailing from Black & Decker have strong business acumen and should breathe new life into the bubbles of Jacuzzi.

    ConsUnprofitable product mix leads to difficult to manage p&l. Product lineis too complex and senior leaders are reluctant to trim the fat. The large product portfolio makes it next to impossible to effectively market the right product to the right customers. Too much money is being spent on non-essential business tasks (such as trade show participation, customer events, trade ads). More focus must be placed on reconnecting the brand with consumers in order to drive sales.

    Advice to Senior ManagementSimplify the product line by discontinuing slow moving items and those that are unprofitable.
