I worked at Jamba Juice full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

hours are pretty flexible, fun usually fast paced, tips, you're offered benefits after three months of working there, promotions are easier to get then before

    Cons

pay is minimum wage, the new jamba is getting more complicated with more work thats not worth the pay, when i left on 2014 everyone was quitting because of the changes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

if youre a hard worker you most likely get promoted to team lead, which is like a key holder, raise goes anywhere from .50 cents to one dollar, really not worth it for the amount of work you have to do.

I have been working at Jamba Juice part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Very easy job, with flexible hours especially if you're a high school or college student. Friendly managers in which creates a friendly environment.

    Cons

Very repetitive, same thing different day. Low pay for the amount work that you do. Little space for promotions. This job is honestly more cleaning than smoothie making.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't just sit back and have employees do all the work. Set the standard so that employees will follow suit.

I have been working at Jamba Juice full-time

    Pros

The company makes a great product. The benefits and bonuses for management can be good. If you like or need a varied scheduled this is perfect for you. Agm, shift lead and team member positions are great for students or as a second job. Gms are only required to work 40-45hrs.

    Cons

The company has a very poor labor model. You must be able to manage multiple priorities in a very fast paced environment. The goals given are often unreasonable. It's very difficult to retain good employees because the pay for part time employees is not competitive.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your store operators. Test products in multiple store types and consider the flow of business. Change the labor model. Stores need more labor to serve the guests at the high level that is expected.

    Pros

The company itself feels like it cares for its employees. It is a good place to learn to work under lots of pressure. 50% off for employees. Great way to learn how to offer great customer service. Tips can pay well.

    Cons

Management can be despondent. Sell, sell, sell mentality is a lot of extra work for an already busy agenda. Guests can be difficult to deal with. They will work you to the bone. Poor training regiment. High turnover rate of employment. Unpredictable hours.

    Pros

You'll get experience working with the public and working under stress(especially during the summer). You also receive a fifty percent off discount for working there.

    Cons

They're really stingy and they have a culture of distrusting their employees and investigating them and using scare tactics to find out if you are making free smoothies for yourself. Never happened to me but happened to some coworkers.

I have been working at Jamba Juice

    Pros

Flexible hours if you work for the right store manager, and a great way to develop your customer service skills, as you deal with customers on a day to day bases.

    Cons

Not enough money for all the things they ask for you to do, and no benefits as a shift manager. So it feels more like your just a head team member then a manager.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give us back paid vacations and the title of shift leader. We work hard so we disserve to be compensated for our hard work.

I have been working at Jamba Juice part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

As the title states the work is very repetitive with shifts having little variation of responsibilities or tasks on a day-to-day basis. The amount of work that is required of you mainly depends on the weather outside because the smoothie-making business is dependent on hot weather. So during the winter and even parts of the fall and spring seasons, this is one of the slowest-paced jobs out there, but as soon as the months start to heat up so does.

    Cons

Very little rewards in the way of raises, promotions, or even just a simple thank you from a corporate level. They are very demanding and see sales and customer rating scores as the only measures of your success.
