    Seasonal fluctality

Juice Jedi (Current Employee) Kansas City, MO

ProsHealthy product, good benefits. Good teamwork amongst local area managers. Nice seasonal menu fluctuation. Health based clientele. Nice local store marketing.

ConsToo many hours in the summer. Unrealistic budget labor targets. Direct lack of communication from corporate level. Stores outside of their CA region do not get the same attention.

Fast Paced, Typical Food Service Job

Team Member (Former Employee) Santa Monica, CA

ProsFast paced environment, basic work experience, employee discount on drinks, customer interaction

ConsInconsistent hours, training involves sitting down and reading a prepared notebook of Jamba Juice's history, values, and work policies.

Advice to Senior ManagementAt the particular location I worked, there seemed to be a constant problem with schedule a balanced number of people during the shifts. Sometimes there would be only two people assigned during a rush, and then other times there would be 4 people with nothing to do at non-peak hours. A better balance of assigning people shifts would help not only the employees but ensure that the customers are serviced well.

    More with less

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Emeryville, CA

ProsNice kitchen, company parties/gatherings, bart/bus friendly. Really flexible on schedule.

ConsHigh expectations without compensation or staffing. Projects released before proper testing and support.

Advice to Senior ManagementThey really care about the culture and activities, but very little about monetary incentives.

    Company seems to be degrading...

Assistant Manager (Current Employee) Auburn, CA

ProsGreat place to learn customer service, meet new faces and learn to work in the food service/customer service industry without working fast food. Good for learning basic management skills.

ConsCompany seems to be slowing down. Smoothies might have been a dying fad? The company is selling off it's locations to franchise companies, that seem to be struggling as well. Great place to work as a team member, but once you get into management, you quickly realize that there are many shortcoming including labor hour allotment, and very poor pay considering no bonuses or full-time benefits.

Advice to Senior ManagementTake care of your managers. Team members come and go but a lot of college-age individuals would love to get management experience in a place like this, but find better opportunities elsewhere.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
