    Pros

Excellent place to work with an Executive Committee who truly seem to care about their employees.

    Cons

Trying too hard to be a full service investment bank. Hard to compete with bigger shops in certain businesses, especially since the firms cost of capital is so high. Better compensation and perks for employees when the firm was more of a boutique investment bank. What's best for the shareholder isn't always best for employee compensation...especially in the Back Office.

    Advice to Management

Try to think about how to maximize both shareholder wealth and employee compensation. Theoretically, the two should go hand in hand. However, this is not the case for the Back-Office employees even though you subject them to Claw-back provisions along with the Front-Office employees.

    Pros

Great sales team, good deal flow, flexible work hours, responsive supervisory analyst teams, brand name garners positive, and high quality relationships, particularly in healthcare.

    Cons

Compensation was much lower than I anticipated, unclear how work on the reasearch side that is related to banking deals is translating into review/comp

    Advice to Management

Provide clear guidance to associates what the path to increased visibility internally and externally, evaluation as it relates to comp, and ultimately to their own coverage
