Former Employee - Analyst in San Francisco, CA

I worked at Jefferies & Company full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Smaller teams, so one got a large amount of responsibility. Went to meetings all of the time. Worked in the Tech group on M&A, debt and IPOs. Worked across the tech sector.

    Cons

Extremely long hours - normal banking complaint. Associates / VPs did little - normal banking complaint.

If you call it a team, someone other than the Analyst should be doing actual excel / ppt work sometimes. Iterating 25x is not a necessity.
