I have been working at Jenny Craig full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Close early on Fridays and benefits

    Cons

Upper management- constantly finding new reasons to threaten us with documentation and are a bunch of stepford wives. Very amusing to watch them in action when the VP comes around.
Employees- high turnover continues but even harder to even hire a decent person thanks to the new employment agency that is worthless.
Marketing- it's not really working, employees just saying it is to keep management off our back about doing it 10 hours a week.
    Pay- it's really just insulting.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't be so naive to believe that these new ideas you are implementing actually work. The jc puppets are just playing the game.

I have been working at Jenny Craig full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Helping people lose weight and learn how to eat and live better!
    Satisfaction of seeing successes.
Employees get 50% off food purchases.

    Cons

    Lack of gender diversity.
Lack of advertising (for every 1 Jenny Craig TV commercial, you see 50 NutriSystem and Weight Watchers).
Need to have food in stock.
Need to have more rotation of new menu items to keep clients motivated to keep coming back.
    Expensive

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do you really think employee morale will improve just because you give us a raise so we are making more than minimum wage, then cut the office cleaners to once a week so we have to take out trash, cardboard boxes, clean bathrooms?

I have been working at Jenny Craig full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Helping people change their lives is very rewarding.

    Cons

No consistency, work long hrs as Center Director w no break, low pay, new structure worse for pay, not enough support for finding quality staff, not enough ads, pay based off of how well company doing, upper mngmnt living in la la land. Spend more $ on new menus/tools than keeping quality employees, it's a food based program so get a focus on new food more often, that's all the client wants!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Wise up, roleplaying is good for training, but not real life situations. Try working as a Jcc more often, "go back to the basics" & see what you can really do & "lead by example". Sit in their chairs for awhile instead of going in 1x a month/quarter to critique.

I have been working at Jenny Craig

    Pros

Passionate about my career. Helping people change their lives. I value the experience of working at Jenny. Great training. Company discounts.
    Generous vacation/PTO time.

    Cons

    Work/life balance is a challenge.
Salary & benefits have to be better..

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Value the employees in the field more. Don't come to field for you check mark. Be human, talk to us as equal to us. Our whole business is a direct reflection of our consultants and their managers, they do not feel it.

    Pros

The interaction with the clients as they get excited with their weight loss success.

    Cons

Having enough time to spend with each client, without rushing to get to the next scheduled appointment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More compensation on the food sales, since it is so vital to their success that they eat our products & not cook on their own.

I have been working at Jenny Craig full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Love the clients, love that you feel that you are making a difference.

    Cons

There is absolutely no coverage for time off, so if you are sick or have a sick child, don't plan on taking the time off. Extremely low pay considering the responsibilities you have, and it seems that everyone above you is a manager... resulting in EVERYONE telling you what to do all the time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be a little bit more appreciative of your consultants, they are the bread and butter of your operation.
