    Great Company, Great Co-Workers

    Ground Operations (Current Employee)
    Fort Lauderdale, FL

ProsFlexible hours, paid vactions, you make your own schedule . Several breaks and oppurtunities for advancement . No union so they still try to keep it that way

ConsSometimes lazy co workers , Hard work during busy season. Out in the hot sun. Lifting heavy bags. Have a lot of crap you have to answer for if you make a mistake, no sweeping it under the rug.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Fun, Inspiring, Respectful People-Centric Company

    IT Professional (Current Employee)

ProsWorking at JetBlue is not like working at any other company. The focus on the importance of people is palpable. The energy within the company is amazing; people make you feel welcomed, smile and laugh on the elevators and genuinely care about one another. The level of communication, openness and transparency as well as the effort to always do the right thing by people is wonderful. Overall, the leaders ihave created a truly inspiring culture and phenomenal place to work.

ConsThings change so fast it's hard to keep up.

    Overall amazing place to work...

    Analyst (Current Employee)
    Long Island City, NY

ProsGreat work/life balance and flexibility in the corporate office. Long Island City office is state-of-the-art. Work with some very positive, talented, passionate people. Professional development and promotional/lateral opportunities are available. Travel benefits are always great.

ConsSome people definitely shouldn't be in the positions they're in... not just referring to management roles. Nearly impossible to get fired once you're in, and I think a lot of people take advantage of that.

Way too much emphasis placed on talent development. Don't get me wrong, *professional* development is extremely important, but a stronger focus needs to be placed on talent acquisition... bring in the right people, both front-line and support side because there are a lot of disgruntled people and otherwise "bad apples" here that aren't going to develop no matter how many Principles of Leadership classes you put them through.

Recruiting team is very friendly, but the process is long and takes a lot of patience. After applying, don't expect to hear anything for several months if at all.

Salary/benefits are lower than other industries, but that's part of working for an airline. It's fun and very rewarding, but certainly not a place to get rich. Know what you're getting into before applying, it's not for everyone.

Advice to Senior ManagementFocus on bringing in the right people! It's vital for our future success...

    Great Job

Airport Operations Crew Member (Current Employee)
    Boston, MA

ProsVery fun company culture. Amazing benefits and competitive pay. I would recommend jetblue as a place to work to anyone.

ConsCompany needs to invest more in software to simplify data analysis and aid in real-time recovery operations. Our current software cannot keep up with major weather events and hinders our response

    Two Words: Dream Job.

    Corporate Finance (Current Employee)
    Forest Hills, NY

ProsIf you can manage to score a corporate job for this company, jump on it as quickly as possible. I've never seen a place with so many people who truly love what they are doing. Caring for employees is instilled all the way up to senior management and it is real. Fast growing company gives room for fast growth and promotion. huge growth potential, and a lot of healthy challenges that come with fast growth dynamics.

The super benefits and generous Paid Time Off is just icing on the cake.

ConsThe only down side I can think of is that the pay in corporate may be below what is typical in other corporations if you're a financial person.

Very positive, the best airlines in the country by far.

    Move Team Coordinator (Current Employee)
    Boston, MA

ProsOur values. Safety, integrity, passion, caring and fun. Jetblue lives by them and so do we the crew members. I love the flexibility and the commitment from top management to create a healthy and pleasant work environment. They value our opinion and do their best to make us feel that we are a big contributor to our success. I am looking forward to staying with jetblue til I retire.

ConsExpanding too fast, but the last couple of year this has been under control. There is really not many cons. The positive out weights the negative by a mile.

Advice to Senior ManagementStart looking to fly over seas. Get bigger airplanes, but stay focus. I would like to see us fly all over the world and share the jetblue experience throughout. I belive that at some point we're going to have to do it just to be able to compete.

The best option for an airline job, if you're crazy enough to get an airline job

    Flight Attendant (Current Employee)
    Washington, DC

ProsGreat benefits, (insurance, free flights for you and family, 401k, 100 percent matching up to 8 percent of pay),
    Better pay than other airlines,
Being a flight attendant is pretty cool,
Job security (they don't do layoffs, just buyouts),

ConsBeing a flight attendant is also really stressful,
    The uniforms suck,
The life of a reserve flight attendant at JetBlue is way harder than other airlines,
Huge difference in quality of supervisors, some are great, some are horrible.

Advice to Senior ManagementMore consistent training for supervisors, make sure they have inflight experience.
Better, non-polyester uniforms, fewer minimum rest layovers.
Send all Embraers back to the factory.

    Excellent

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
    Forest Hills, NY

ProsYoung, hip, cool place to work

Consnot a lot of process and procedure in place. can be frustrating. this, however, does NOT apply to the safety sensitive jobs like pilots, mechanics, flight attendant.
