I have been working at JetBlue part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Working from home, ability to trade shifts.

    Cons

Only 4 flights from SLC and very difficult to get on because so many employees in SLC. Pay is very low for a high stress job. Takes a long time to get a good schedule, plan on working nights and weekends for at least 2-3 years.

I have been working at JetBlue full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The crewmembers at JetBlue make the airline and now with new product offerings, it's getting interesting. Flight benefits are great and can take you places you could never believe, but the standby lifestyle is not for everyone.

    Cons

Depending on positions I'm sure, but work/life balance leans too far towards work. Basic IT resources are horrible. Flight benefits, no matter how much you plan, you'll eventually feel a level of stress and anxiety one never knew existed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

With the rollout of our new product offerings, let's do our best to focus on pleasing our customers and not share holders.

I have been working at JetBlue full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The company strives to take care of it's people "Crewmembers" the same as it takes care of it's Customers. Aside from the leaders, the people who work on the front lines of the company really get along and forrm life long relationships with each other. Compared to any other airline I think JetBlue is the best place to work, even on days when it's not perfect.

    Cons

Over the years the level of bureaucracy of the leaders has stood in the way of getting things done and slowing down progress. Also as the company has matured over the years leaders are less and less living the values, and or really understand what life is like from a front line perspective. It used to be a company where leaders would roll up their sleeves and dig in when needed, but that doesn't happen as much anymore. It has begun to shift from caring about people as much to caring about money.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop saying that we all live by the values and that we are egalitarian and live it

I have been working at JetBlue

    Pros

JetBlue is a great place to work. Training is in a group of about 30 people and by the end of the month long training I felt like they were all family. Working from home is nice too as I work in reservations. and the free flights make it all worth it.

    Cons

The starting pay kinda sucks and people can be rude sometimes as is true for any call center environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I get way too many emails so I feel like I'm working all day just to sort through them all even after my shift. Chill out with the emails ;)

    Pros

You feel proud to work for this company. Once you drink the blue juice it runs through your veins. I've been here for 6+ years and I've loved every bit of it.

    Cons

As with smaller companies and/or departments, sometimes you have to wear many hats and become a jack of all trades to help fill in a missing gap or role.
