I have been working at JetBlue full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Strong cutting edge company leading the industry in offerings. There are many opportunities for entry level employees. The culture here in Salt Lake is amazing. Front line Managers are generally very grounded and in the corner for their direct reports.

    Cons

Analysts are not treated the same nor given the same opportunities as supervisors or others in operational positions. Mid Level management (Director/VP) are too lost in the day to day operation to see problems developing amongst non operational teams.
Opportunities for growth and advancement (minimum requirements for similar jobs) are not consistent across different office/airport locations across the company.

I worked at JetBlue full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good Pay, good benefits. Good people.

    Cons

Work can be limited due size of Flight Attendant bases. limits your ability to make money, and fully enjoy the flight attendant life style. Schedule based on seniority and hire date, not on work performance.

Being a flight attendant is a thankless job. Your customers rarely appreciate you, and that can wear on you.

I have been working at JetBlue full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

We have some of the best people to work on a day to day basis.

    Cons

Lack of any leadership from the top. Alot of talk with no follow thru. Seems they are just wanting to set the company up for sale. While the top gets $$$$ they rob the workers of benefits and pay. Top brass had 46% increases in pay and benefits 2010 to 2011 yet they increase the costs on the average employee benefits by a wide margin.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Resign if you cannot figure out how to truly lead a fine group of people. Read a few good books on leadership to get a hint. So far you have lost 25 a share in market cap and you think your doing good. Really!!!

Benefits and flying perks are good. The schedule is very flexible - shift trades are a breeze online. Lots of potential overtime. Good for college kids etc. Day-to-day job.

No opportunity for advancement to management side of the house.

I have been working at JetBlue

    Pros

The friends you make and people you work with.

    Cons

No support from supervisors when it comes to situations in air.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think the inflight suppervisors need to fly at least a 2 day trips every month. Some have been off the line for years and have no clue anymore. The chief pilots fly monthly why can't our sups do the same.

I have been working at JetBlue

    Pros

Flight Benefits allow to fly employee, parents, children and spouse or significant-other for free.
Fun, young company with lots of extra curricular activities to help the community.
Healh insurance did not go up in several years.
    Stock options with discount.

    Cons

Salaries for middle management are below average, some directors and VPs have huge bonuses.
Politics preserve unhappy frustrated people in lead and key positions. Some jobs are a farce.
Mediocre untalented people is not detected. Spot bonuses are rare.
The performance measurement is absurdly useless. No clear career path or talent detection.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Detect, preserve and utilize talent. Reward hard honest work. Do not rely on consultants for everything. Fire negative leaders or the good people reporting to them with leave. Train management, enhance their horizons. They are myopic.
