    Pros

    Fast paced, Will hire felons

    Cons

NO Fans!!! They schedule you for 40 hours a week, but after the required 1hour and 30 min lunch you get less than 30 hours so they do not have to provide insurance. Assistant manger has caused a lot of people to quit

    Advice to Management

More pay, Provide insurance, Install fans.

I have been working at Jiffy Lube part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It's easy to do the job and you are helping people with maintaining their vehicle. I've also learned better sales techniques and about how much preventative maintenance needs to be done on my vehicle. Also got some reduced maintenance and free oil changes as part of our benefits.

    Cons

The pay is terrible. $9 hr but actually only taking home $7.75 due to taxes, ss, and standard witholding.

    Advice to Management

I'm not an advocate of minimum wage and this job is entry level "flipping burgers" cheap job. This job is a bit more skilled than that so a little more pay would make sense. You're also 1 1/2 mo past due on the $.50 hr raise you owe me. Please get better at staying on top of that.

    Pros

They have jobs available at my location often

    Cons

the job availability was due to high turnover at my particular store. I didn't receive adequate training and was expected to perform at a high sales level.

    Advice to Management

this store needs to properly train their employees

    Pros

Opportunity for advancement Physically active Most other employees are easy to get along with Management is easy-going for the most part

    Cons

Low pay No benefits until after you're considered "full-time" (1-2 years) Corporate management doesn't care about employees AT ALL Little Review: I work 76 hours a week, 7 days a week, and it's not by choice. I am pretty much forced to work this insane schedule. As an Assistant Manager, I make less than 10.00 an hour. The company is generally a decent company, until you get into management. After that, you are nothing more than a number. The only thing that they care about (and this is franchise specific, in my case, its LUCOR) is money. Money this, money that, where's the money, what's your labor at? Every day. And you have to spoon feed these people common sense.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your employees. If they ask for something, do your best to accommodate. Be prompt. Just plain show some concern or that you care.

    Pros

It is a good job for while in high school, teaches how to take care of your own car and most managers and other coworkers are easy to get along with.

    Cons

Corporate doesn't care about employees and the pay is garbage for the amount of work you do. Smelling like oil is common at the end of the day and many customers blame you if any thing goes wrong in the car whether it was pre-existing or not. If you can try to get a different job after you graduate.
