I have been working at Jiffy Lube part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Work on a variety of cars so you get familiar with different makes and models, exposure to new tools, machines, and diagnosis tools.

    Cons

Could have a lot of downtime, schedules aren't consistent, on slow days everyone is desperate for work so you may have 5 employees trying to work on one car when it's a single person job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

None that I can think of

    Pros

working at jiffy lube taught me very valuable skills in terms of upkeep on cars. I think it is a great job for any high school kid.

    Cons

Something dealing with customers that immediately thought they were better than you was frustrating. Also, the schedule is pretty inflexible.
