    Pros

Great workplace, inviting workforce, good atmosphere, great place to learn and grow your skills. Really stress work life balance and healthy living.

    Cons

As a contractor you are left out of certain activities which can make you feel like a second rate citizen compared to those who are actual employees

    Pros

Johnson & Johnson pushes their analysts to rotate around the different sectors. Senior Financial analyst have a great deal of visibility to upper level management.

    Cons

Definitely not banking hours, but long enough hours in order to merit a pay increase. Not too many manager positions for the number of senior financial analysts at the company.

    Advice to Management

N/A. Management around J&J has an open door policy. They fight for their direct reports to get more exposure during their rotations.

    Pros

Large company with a small office feel, great resources for employees, and terrific learning opportunities for interns.

    Cons

    On-boarding process was confusing.

    Advice to Management

Set aside time to evaluate your interns performance more than once before the end of the summer.

    Pros

Well known and respected Company. Some nice Perks like being offered to work from Home on certain days. Some really great people to work with.

    Cons

I have seen really really great Managers and some really really poor managers. It is hit or miss. Hard to transfer to other groups. Don't plan on staying at J&J for a Career. They get rid of the people with the most years and experience just to cut costs. Ethics and Morals have really taken a hit. When they get caught doing something wrong that when the Credo gets spoken about. They use it as a crutch. Does not have much value anymore, especially to all the new outside Managers that have been brought in. Hard to get promotions. Job descriptions are made so tough that you will be laid off so the new Directors can bring in their own people from the companies they came from before J&J. Employees now just pray they can possibly make it to early retirement before they are laid off.

    Advice to Management

Revisit the Credo. Either live by it or get rid of it. Too much unethical and poor morals now starting to show more and more. Employees are now numbers on a Finance sheet and not treated as individuals. Need to get back to where we used to be when General Johnson wrote the Credo and it was truly followed. Quality and great service has been replaced by bottom line cost cutting.

    Pros

Great company culture, big emphasis on work-life balance and employees' well-being. Fantastic pay compared to others in the industry, and great benefits as well. Everyone is very helpful, and you often get to work on projects with other team members who are intelligent and hard working. Management really cares about employees' career and personal growth.

    Cons

Sometimes things get very hectic and stressful, but then again that surely depends on your role and team responsibilities. Some managers are still stuck in the old "hierarchy" mindset and will make you feel like you are disposable. However, those are just random individuals, because most of management is excellent.

    Advice to Management

Make sure you are not overworking your youngest employees. Kids coming straight out of college will do almost anything to prove themselves, and I often see them struggle with the work life balance. Help them through it and you will have much more productive and happier employees, who will then be less likely to leave to pursue other opportunities.

    Pros

J&J has incredible culture. You could literally pick any manager to be your mentor. You are working beside the best of the best and they have top-notch training to get you where you need to be. The benefits are wonderful, as well. Highly paid, generous time off, pension, 401k match and extended maternity leave. You should definitely work here if you can!

    Cons

There is a lot of responsibility, which comes with many hours. The expectations to deliver are high and there is pressure to hit a quota.

    Advice to Management

Management should keep up the outstanding training, should continue to listen to employee needs and empower each employee to make his/her own career path. It would be nice if there was more visibility to other career paths outside of one operating department.
