I have been working at Jones Lang LaSalle as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

JLL is a solid, balanced and stable company, which leaves plenty of room for growth. They also provide multiple opportunities to learn and develop within the company as well.

    Cons

Since it's so large, it may be easy to simply refill a role should the needs not be met, but hardly considered a negative or unreasonable.

I worked at Jones Lang LaSalle full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Company vehicle loaded with good field tools and equipment, Good managers that seem to actually care about you, Good starting salaries and benefits.

    Cons

No place to move up into a better position - very limited advancement opportunities, all meetings done through computer and not enough " in person" time with immediate manager, small raises for technicians but good raises for upper management, who sometimes do not know how to work with the field techs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Expand your time out in the field to meet with Mobile techs; Allow greater feedback from field techs about technical aspects of clients needs and then actually apply the information in the corporate level as well. Give "earned raises" not "just everyone gets something across the board" raises.

    Pros

Our client is great to work with and treats us as they would their own employees, not as a client.

    Cons

While the work is always challenging and never ending the compensation does not always match the amount of work given.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Current Employee - Mobile Facility Engineer in Cleveland, OH

I have been working at Jones Lang LaSalle full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Good benefits, work life balance part of the company culture. Constantly growing and becoming stronger.

    Cons

Hard to move up. Moving up the ladder not really encouraged, seems like they would rather hire from outside than try to groom people to move up from within. Total disconnect between those in upper management and those who are in the engineering or facilities maintenance departments. It stinks having someone tell you how to do a job that has no experience doing your job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Blue collar doesn't equal stupid. Listen to the guys at the bottom sometimes. You might be surprised at what you would learn! Work on promoting the best and brightest from within. Stop looking outside the company for talent.....reward the loyal employees by giving them the tools to advance their careers.
