    Great atmosphere! Great upward mobility

DUP (Former Employee) Vero Beach, FL

ProsKB Home prides itself on its brand and general employee morale. I enjoyed my time at KB and would likely still be there if construction hadn't come to a grinding halt.

ConsManagement above the local division level did not care to understand the specific local issues confronting our division. They assumed that due to their company's size they could dictate timelines to local municipalities. It created a slight cognitive dissonance for the rank and file employees

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep the great atmosphere, but listen to the local division mangement.

Great company ..my dream job of my sales career

New Home Sales Consultant (Current Employee) San Antonio, TX

ProsLove helping others discover their ability to purchase a new home- great company that supports & embraces it values of integrity everyday throughout every department. I feel like I am part of a wonderful sales team! Great earnings potential!

ConsMonthly draw that is paid back before any commissions earned every month. It takes up to a year to build backlog before any commissions earned.Sales cycle to receive compensation is too long; must be able to establish a long relationship and deal with many issues that arise during build. Some issues are out of your hands, but until buyer closes on his home, there isn't any commission.

Advice to Senior ManagementCreate a format where payment can be received sooner during the month to help with overall employee morale..other than that.. great management!

If you want to work in homebuilding, make it KB Home.

Admin. Assistant (Former Employee) Los Angeles, CA

ProsKB Home is at the forefront of the home building industry- if you are going to work in this industry, make it with KB. Great "Green" initiative, large corporation but intimate environment, executives treat the little people as one of them.

ConsBusiness is slow these days, but that's probably temporary. Few windows and harsh lighting in some areas of the building.

Advice to Senior ManagementNo complaints here whatsoever. Thank you for treating us like humans.
