ProsDeparments are not segmented by industries compared to other Big 4. Hence, will have a portfolio of multiple industries which will give you a broad learning base. In the later stages of your career you can also negotiate to focus on a few industries. Friendly and helful seniors in training you in areas your not comfortable with. Commitment to sports and social activities by the partners and managers.

ConsLike the other Big 4, you will experience long hours. During off-peak periods (Apr to Sep) you will be going home at 6-7pm on average. During peak periods (Oct to Mar) you will be going home at 9-11pm on average. Although most seniors are helpful their management skills tend to be bad in not knowing how to allocate assignments to juniors. Hence, in certain areas your doing more than is required and there is uneven work hours within the team.

Advice to Senior ManagementTrain the seniors in management skills in particular work allocation and monitoring too increase effeciency. Also encourage more meetings and planning before an assignment so that seniors actually meet the partners expectatios as opposed to seniors overdoing work for fear they didn't do enough.
