Good company, highly political environment

Project Manager (Former Employee)
Los Angeles, CA

I worked at KPMG full-time for more than 3 years

ProsSmart and well-rounded coworkers that are enjoyable to work with.

ConsThe office I worked in was highly political. Management is not upfront and honest about things when straightforward communication is needed. Especially when critiques need to be made, management too focused on avoiding confrontation.

Advice to Senior ManagementPeople on the ground did not always have a great deal of respect for the project owner (usually a director).

A good place to be

Senior Associate - Advisory (Current Employee)
Los Angeles, CA

I have been working at KPMG full-time for more than 3 years

ProsChallenging work. Very flexible. Great people.

ConsSometimes the work is overwhelming. Sometimes the client work can be so boring it makes you feel like you're actually getting dumber. The firm also seems to be trying to outsource to India quite a bit, so who knows what the future here will be like.
