    Pros

Great people to work with for the most part. Flexible schedule and benefits. Talented senior managers.

    Cons

Can involve lots of travel at times, and long hours. Some would say the business can be too cyclical but so is every job now.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think they are probably very aware of internal opinions.

Former Employee - Senior Associate in Albuquerque, NM

    Pros

The benefits at this firm are what kept me there year after year. Good medical coverage, good amount of vacation time, flexible work options and retirement/401k. For the most part, the Partnership figures were open and available for conversations with staff.

    Cons

Depending on which department you're in, things can be really good or really bad. My work group was switched from one department to another; the first department was caring and inclusive, the second, well, not so much. My work group went from respected professionals to being left out of informational meetings and disrespected in the decision-making process. Some professionals have very entitled attitudes and exhibit a disregard for those not in the client-facing positions. Certain non-client-facing fields have extremely limited mobility options unless you want to retrain and relocate.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to those with experience, no matter their personnel level. If they say something's a bad idea and they have experience with it, don't override them based on your own personal relationships. This goes against the core values you supposedly hold so dear.

    Pros

The culture is based around both customer satisfaction and employee satisfaction. It is a culture worth working in.

    Cons

They can be a little bit stingy when it comes to pay, but that's not always the case. Make sure to negotiate your pay from the beginning because raises can be hard to come by.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep it up, and remember to promote from within.

Former Employee - Manager in New York, NY

    Pros

Educational opportunities, chance to see many different operations, lots of on-the job learning. Good internal training/support.

    Cons

Once you are at manager level, you are expected to do business development as well, and promotion opportunities depend on this. If I wanted to be a salesman I would have gone into sales. Also, it's the usual consulting arrangement - if you've done something once, you're considered the expert on that subject by your team; you have to talk to the client like you are, too.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make the business-development process more transparent, and provide more internal support for this.
