I worked at Kelly Services full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Work from home position. That's really the only pro to this job. But even then people were hawking on you for every little thing.

    Cons

Management had their heads up their rears the entire time. Didn't listen to the advisors in the slightest and continued to make massive mistakes. Many advisors were completely off tasks for hours on end and had no disciplinary action taken. Others took 3 minutes too long on a call and were hounded to oblivion.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn how to manage your employees and create a work environment that isn't hostile. When you promote complete morons to team lead and supervisor positions and keep your decent advisors on the phones to keep stats up, you're doing things wrong.

    Cons

They have a staff that doesn't speak for its employees, they work to hard and don't offer any type of assistance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire a staff of leaders not cheep wannabe supervisors.

    Pros

You can get introduced to a variety of companies with little no no long term commitment

    Cons

If you get laid off from a seasonal position ie., tax software support october thru april..they will fight tooth and nail to make sure you don't get unemployment..make sure you document EVERYTHING ..who you talked with at your exit interview..who you gave your updated resume to..follow up and contact them 24 hours, 36 hours, 72 hours etc.. to stay qualified so they will look for other work..or to keep you qualified to collect unemployment "just in case"

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If your company is inthe business of keeping good qualified rehireable employees..don't give them the runaround whenever you want to keep them in your "just in case" files..we want to be able to work when we can .. not just when you want us to.

    Pros

There are none I can think of.

    Cons

The Herndon, VA location needs a revamp and check in of its staff. Every person I encountered was rude or could not adequately answer questions.

I worked at Kelly Services full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The ability to work from home.

    Cons

This company micro manages their employee's every move. You will be monitored via web cam in your own home by several different employees at one time. The KellyConnect Apple project is so poorly ran that most of what they are doing is at best unethical and teetering on the line of illegal.

The turnover rate will make your head spin. The average advisor will quit (if they are not fired first) within two months because it is THAT unbearable. KellyConnect is so focused on keeping Apple as a client that they exploit their employees and present a very false picture of their site to Apple. They make their employees talk about how great their job is on camera and present these fabrications to Apple.

Kelly cuts corners to try and exceed Enterprise metrics. Most of the Kelly site is ignorant to Apple's latest developments. You are working for Apple, yet management cannot answer the simplest of questions if they are not readily available in the knowledge based articles. If they cannot answer your question they will simply ignore it. They push this positive culture but that is the biggest facade. There is an air of tension, uncertainty, and fear. People are constantly afraid of losing their jobs and have watched so many advisors just mysteriously disappear.

Management doesn't even try to hide favoritism. They say they are a performance based organization but the same handful of subpar performers seem to win the "random" drawings for Apple gift cards. But I must say those who become favorites definitely earn it, those poor fools have to bite their tongues and go along with Kelly's insanity. If you do not act like you love your job and agree with the ignorance that management spews you will get shafted in all areas. Suddenly you get the worst schedule, your team leads will be reading through you private conversations and finding any way to make your life a living hell.

For a company who robs from their employees and pays $9 dollars to their people that are paid $15 for the same job if hired through Apple, Kelly certainly wastes a ton of money on team leads who have no purpose aside from spying on overworked and abused employees.

The employee reviews that are 3 stars or above are not legitimate.

The saddest part of all is that there are smart, talented, and over-qualified advisors being patronized, underpaid, and undervalued by these bullies. I have never been more insulted and patronized in all of my life. Until this very review, I have never even done a negative review for a company I have worked for. Please, for the sake of your health and sanity, steer clear of these degenerates.

If you are desperate for work and have no other options, make sure to keep looking for work if hired because you will not last long.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Clean house. You have a lot of upper management that is unproductive and exploiting their position of power.

I worked at Kelly Services part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Very flexible schedule. Only work when you want.

    Cons

Very impersonal, and impolite atmosphere. Management and lead test scorers were extremely rude and overall facility was very unorganized. The facility is more interested with pushing out scores rather than assessing whether or not children genuinely understood the material. A very frustrating environment to work for.

    Pros

Ability to apply online from anywhere.
    Quick callback after applying.

    Cons

    Waste of time
    False hope
    Nonchalant staff

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Should consider potential candidates time and effort.
Should not promise employment if there aren't solid emploment positions to offer.
Should also work with a sense of urgency and keep in touch with candidates on hiring progress.

    Pros

    The cons outweigh the pros...

    Cons

Management has no concern for their tenured employees. Every year, right about now, mass layoffs begin. The tenure report is run, and those employees who have dedicated themselves to this company for years, are let go. I'm sure the response here will be that business slows at this time of year, but I've seen it time and time again. Projected/budgeted numbers are not being met, the easiest way to increase that bottom line, eliminate salaries, benefits, etc., right before the holiday season.

I have been working at Kelly Services

    Pros

I was screened for the job fairly efficiently and quickly. It went downhill from there though.

    Cons

They hired me for a job in September. I still have not started orientation a month and a half later. I cannot get in touch with the reps. Their voice mail is full. My emails go unanswered. I tried contacting a general email through their website since I couldn't get through to the local office and got an auto response to my very detailed explanation in email. The aut response told me to fill out a form on their website. The link was broken and didn't work. I am frustrated beyond belief with this company but still would like to do the job I was hired for.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Contact people. Respond to emails and voicemails - PROMPTLY. Hire more people to answer your phones if you can't keep up with it. Fix your website - sending out broken links is unprofessional as well as infuriating to the people who receive the message,
