    I worked at Kelly Services full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    I joined Kelly because of their reputation as an industry pioneer. The Houston team had a history of long term employees when I joined.

    Cons

    The local leadership changed shortly after I joined and there has been a mass evacuation of many great employees. The leadership manages by fear and intimidation and communication is poor at best.

    Since 2011, there have been 3 major overhauls in how the company is structured.

    From the top down, the leadership has forgotten what it takes to work in a staffing branch and there is an overwhelming since that the employees should be happy to have a job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Go out and work in a branch without your local leadership sitting there. Listen to the people who are in the trenches daily and consider the challenges they are having.

    Remember that your employees (temporary and internal) are an extension of your brand and do not take any of them for granted.

    People at Kelly Services are nice and prompt. The process was fast.

    Cons

    The job that I was placed in was garbage and not worth the money! But its a temp services you can't really expect much its temporary.

    The ability to work from home.

    Cons

    The managers staying on you about selling service that the customers don't have to have. It was unnecessarily getting coached every day if you didn't get the sales.

    Let people know up front what is really expected instead of telling one thing in training and then switching it up

    Pros

    I can't think of anything extraordinary.

    Cons

    Company activities are few and far between but, have made strides within the past year or so.
    Dealing with/dealt with a nasty rep at the Rockville, Maryland office. She asked, what I was doing at a company function?
    The Statement of Work seems to change but, the salary does not reflect changes.
    Management seems to turn a blind eye to potential legal-related workplace issues, ie. bullying.

    Pros

    IT support and payroll support were excellent!

    Cons

    My supervisor was a bully and unprofessional. When she over hired for my branch, instead of laying off, she bullied, humiliated and pushed to break me until I finally quit (after she yelled at me in front of my entire office for over 30mins!) No actions from corporate after incident even though all my co workers filed a complaint. When I spoke with HR I was told they only support my supervisor as she "bleeds green" and they will not help me. For the record, I was over 300% to my goal at the time I got pushed out....no commission paid out....suspicious timing.
    In addition - experienced recruiters look out because they won't let you staff 90% of what comes to you. You will have to pass most good positions to the various professional and corporate recruiters in the area. So you must be content with entry level only. If it's a big company, it goes to someone else, if its management, it goes to someone else, if its IT, science, engineering, accounting, teaching....anything else, you will have to pass it on. Your focus will be on the peanuts of the business.

    Take a hard look at your local leadership. My supervisor used to love to tell other employees all about each other, I knew everyone's business and who was in trouble, not performing, etc and that is NOT professional. She also loved to brag that since she had been with the company for so long she can get away with a lot....and it seems she was right. Really a bad sign that an entire office complained about an incident and your corporate HR was aloud to sweep it under the rug. Shame on you!

    Branch staff is great. They do not have direction, though.

    Cons

    District manager needs meds, priorities changed constantly. Made it hard to focus on business direction.

    Get a new Regional Manager.
