I have been working at Kelly Services as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

Online Environment, Work at home position, training for position, casual dress,

    Cons

Schedules are difficult to modify and are often changed on a daily basis; hours are decreased based on performance making improvement difficult to achieve; segmented environment makes upward mobility in project difficult without working/logging in on "off' time (lack of career development opportunities withing a project); when project IT issues occur we are paid, however, it IT issue happen at home site unpaid; must pay for equipment up front for new hires to take the position

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide more transparency regarding career development, provide opportunities for people that fix people's needs to keep them long term to avoid burnout, make the "schedulers" a part of the floor team because it seems as it they have no idea the floor operations. Have Management take calls when the call volume is too high.

I have been working at Kelly Services full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Flexible work schedule and good base salaries for a recruiting gig i'd say. Office dynamics are good. Allowed to bring laptops home if needed to do work after hours which is necessary sometimes in recruiting.

    Cons

I would say there are not a lot of cons. There is a good work life balance and you are left alone as long as you hit your numbers. Comp plan is pretty fair.

    Pros

It's easy work but I imagine it depends on the company you're placed with.

    Cons

The recruiter had no idea what to expect for the position. There's no communication after the job starts with the people from Kelly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I worked at Kelly Services as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

They pay overtime on occasion. The work isn't too gruesomely tiring but required long hours. The people I worked with were very well organized and kept up with the changing daily schedules very well. Deadlines were flexible and the work provided a nice laptop.

    Cons

The people that managed me gave me no direction. The tasks changed very quickly and required long hours and without extra food or meals or snacks. There wasn't any real fun time activities that occurred. It was mostly just work work work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn to make employees feel like a family so that we can do a better job.

I worked at Kelly Services full-time

    Pros

The corporate structure at Kelly is evolving and therefore there are opportunities for many avenues to explore - nothing is ever boring or routine.

    Cons

Kelly is struggling to be a 'real' publically traded company and has yet to attain this. Work-life balance is non existent and leadership lacking. At the corporate level, Kelly is simply an elaborate sales business and collegiality does not exist.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management needs to look back at the history of the company and what made it strong. Stick to what has worked and stop trying to be what you are not or there will be no Kelly. Senior management has only two members with true integrity and the rest need to ship out.

I worked at Kelly Services full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Great salary depending on the company you work for.

    Cons

Once you are finished with the assignment, they forget about you. A letter of recommendation doesn't help you get another position.
They make it hard to accumulate paid vacation days, (when a holiday comes around you just go w/o pay)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If we come recommended, why aren't you obtaining new assignments for us, that's what keeps you in business. Perhaps if you were us you see how it feels to want a job. Keep up the good work perhaps you will see how it feels to look for a job.
