I have been working at Ketchum full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

-Wonderful, smart, articulate people who are funny, great writers, collaborative, hard-working and passionate about clients and what they do
-Incredible focus on talent development (career opportunities, relocation opportunities, the ability to create your own career path and role, great training and tools, amazing HR teams)
-Great midtown location and great office perks and activities (in-office manicures, sports club discounts, Omnicom employee discounts, running club, weekly beer and wine bar cart on Fridays)
-Amazing roster of top-tier clients for bragging rights and exciting work

    Cons

-Lot of internal politics and silos
-Sometimes confusing/inconsistent or vague strategic direction from executive leadership
-Chronically understaffed, incredibly fast-paced and meeting-heavy
-Some clients like the Russian federation are not clients to be proud of

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Clearer vision/values direction is key, as well as decisive stances on the role of all the businesses outside of the core PR offering to avoid competing P&Ls

I have been working at Ketchum full-time

    Pros

Close-knit team, great client roster, fun environment, easy to grow, ton of variety in projects and work

    Cons

Busy/fast paced, billability pressure, sometimes long hours, tight deadlines, ups and downs in terms of workload

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Overcommunicate to make sure the team stays in-the-know. We have a great group of amazing people, make sure we keep everyone informed and involved so they will stay!

    I worked at Ketchum

    Pros

As an intern I was able to learn from the best in the industry. A great company to be involved with. Truly are PR pros.

    Cons

To be honest, there is no downside of working here!

Ketchum really cares about its people and leadership works hard to promote a strong culture.

I have been working at Ketchum full-time

    Pros

Great people and fun (but hard-working) atmosphere. There is opportunity to work with great clients and leadership is good at matching assignments to passion.

    Cons

There isn't a particularly strong culture of post-work gatherings of employees; while people enjoy colleagues' company at work, most people go their separate ways after work rather than socialize with one another. I would consider this a minor criticism, however.
