ProsGreat benefits - especially vacation and 401K match

    Cons-Highly political / cut throat.
    -No clear vision
-Constantly switching direction causing workforce to swirl
-They make their numbers look great while spending millions of dollars in wasteful development.

    Overworked and underpaid

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Cleveland, OH

ProsAlways career opportunities to move around departments; although these opportunities are mostly all lateral moves, it's difficult to move "up" in the company.
Decent benefits, 3 weeks vacation to start out.
Kind of laid back for a bank, although the corporate culture is a little strange.

ConsLow-balled wages/salaries. Denied annual raises and/bonuses even when the company is doing well; this seems to depend on the department you work for. Little to no work-life balance, even though they have the technology to allow more flexibility, this will also depend on the department/manager.

Constantly eliminating positions to create smaller staff size, while the work volumes increase. Then expect the higher work volumes to be completed with less staff, while offering no pay increase or bonuses, noting the base rates are a low balled rate to begin with. Terrible for employee morale.

Advice to Senior ManagementProvide more fair pay and better work life balance.

Terrible place to work if you want to have your own ideas

Senior Relationship Manager (Current Employee) Cleveland, OH

ProsSome good bonuses, non-senior managers and front line employees that care about customers and each other, rewarding performance, good facilities, stock price is rebounding,

ConsConstant threat of being fired, stagnant growth, lack of accountability in senior management for results, lack of constructive feedback, lack of work/life balance, quick to terminate frontline relationship managers, or make the work environment miserable so they opt to leave

Advice to Senior ManagementQuit managing sales people in the "short term", rather average performance over time. Turnover is way to high in the Commercial RM ranks. The DHP system is dehumanizing and outdated. Direct managers and supervisors should be rated by their employees as part of their performance measurements.

    Not the golden key

Risk Reviewer (Former Employee) Cleveland, OH

ProsGood pay, great exposure to banking and capital markets.

ConsHigh turn-over and long hours. Management is taking outsourcing initiatives too far. Senior staff is very talented but over-worked while management negotiates risks all day. New hire training was non-existent.

Advice to Senior ManagementTrain properly and invest in your employees, show everyone they're valued. Focus on mitigating risks, not solely outsourcing or renegotiating amongst business line management.

    Key is fickle

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Cleveland, OH

ProsIf you like enduring constant reorgs, this is the place to be. My co-workers were the best team I ever had.

ConsRecently described by ex-employee as "dysfunctional". Did an about-face on outsourcing stance and ejected huge amounts of people at a time.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
