I have been working at KnowledgeLake full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Now managed by Fujitsu the company has a ton of great benefits, they can't really be beat. Good education tools available and HR offers many fantastic online systems for career enhancement. Plenty of the usual niceties at the office like game room, snacks, special meal days, birthdays etc., standard stuff really but nice to have. Execs try really hard to keep the staff in the know about plans, goals and challenges.

    Cons

Market has changed for SharePoint and KnowledgeLake bet all in on SharePoint, therefore they are seeing a challenging time in the market. Pressure is on all departments to work harder and smarter, not unusual but the pressure is new to this young organization.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Not so sure promoting a Sales Director to COO is the best idea, where is the experience in operating company coming from. Managing a sales team is one thing, but you can't manage a company like a sales quota. We'll see, he's a good guy and you won't find a harder working guy in the company.

    Pros

KnowledgeLake is a meritocracy...plain and simple. Do good work, get recognized and rewarded. I think the right workers thrive in environments like this and that's what makes KnowledgeLake a great place to grow a career. There is a high-energy buzz when you come to work, with nice perks, fun employee events and meetings and a positive work atmosphere.

    Cons

For those who aren't used to, or aren't cut out for a high-performance culture, it can be tough to get traction.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The executive team continues to open up and be more transparent. I urge them to continue to build that visibility for the teams. Overall, direction is clear and

I have been working at KnowledgeLake full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great company and co-workers are focused on their job. Healthcare is pretty good, and covers most normal procedures. 401k matching program, is decent.

    Cons

Culture has been on the downfall since KnowledgeLake was bought buy a large corporation. Only one of the four founding fathers remain working at KnowledgeLake.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find a way to bring back the culture that made this company fantastic!

I have been working at KnowledgeLake

    Pros

Family environment, great PTO and very flexible for family, wealth of SharePoint oriented knowledge to learn. There are plenty of opportunities if you have the knowledge/experience and perseverance.

    Cons

Training is a little weak but your co-workers will make up for it. Department structure needs work to be successful. As sick as it is to say, it is almost too relaxed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Force senior employees to act as middle managers at least to provide a little structure and team work.

I have been working at KnowledgeLake full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Foosball table. Free sodas. Dual monitors and free access to the local City Center gym.

    Cons

Managers who seam nice but will stab you in the back, to save the company money. Hire juniors, and expect them to have senior level talent. Their code is a mess, and all they offer to the media is smoke and mirrors, about how wonderful they are, despite their code being so broken.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop with the BS you feed your employees, and tell them the truth if you are not going to keep them on.
