    Good pay, good management, good company, job secutity, good training for managers

    Cons

    A lot of people who work there dont really care...they are just collecting a paycheck. Its hard to work with people like that everyday. Overall it was not a deal breaker

    fun, fast paced for the most part, good people, lots of different experience if you put yourself out there

    minimum wage, insanely low raises, no room to grow, and some rude costumers.

    raise your wages and care about your employees more! Every employee has left sense i started because the crap pay and wages.

    Pros

    - Great and fun coworkers!
    - Associate discounts that can be combined with other coupons
    - Work is not that difficult
    - Able to move up in the company
    - Most of the managers and supervisors are nice
    - Didn't really have to deal with angry customers that often
    - Decent work/life balance. Can request days you want off and its given to you most of the time.

    Cons

    - Hours are cut when payroll is low
    - Sometimes there is a lack of associates working, with only one sale floor associate at times to cover the whole store (especially for fitting rooms), which can get overwhelming on super busy days.
    - Constant push for selling their store credit card
    - Employee reviews are mostly based on how much credit or emails/rewards you've gotten.
    - Inconsistent hours and times worked
    - Lack of training

    I have been working at Kohl's part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    I love working there as I can go to my department and do my own thing. It's a pretty easy job, and if you look on the positive side, it can be a fun creative one.
    The training lacks a bit. There's videos and the basic things, but they sort of throw you out there to learn and do on your own. You have to be motivated to learn the store inside and out, otherwise they like to keep you in one spot. Leadership is lacking. While there are some great managers, there are also a handful of bad managers that either don't care, or aren't qualified.

    Cons

    Promotions are far and few between. Not many full time positions. They have a habit or hiring too many people and hours get cut for everyone that is part-time, no matter how long you've been there.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Reevaluate some of the people you hire, even if they are new. People may not be your favorite, but they might be great for a higher position in the store. For hours - New people are cheaper, but the long term employees know how to do it right the first time.

    Company provides great flexibility to complement family life. Truly puts customer service as a high priority. Great team effort at our store.

    Some may think the rate of pay is not high enough. Depends on if you're looking to use this job as a supplement to an existing job or primary.
