I worked at Kraft Foods full-time

    Pros

Culture of people with high values all trying to do the right thing. Demanding workplace with challenging goals and fair compensation. A great training ground for most any function. Kraft name on your resume carries weight in the CPG space.

    Cons

Challenging industry/environment with a goal of low growth but high bottom-line and cash flow performance. Results in intense cost pressure that in some cases has gone too far and impacted top-line results. Lack of significant, sustained innovation adds to growing cost pressure. Significant outsourcing across most functions results limits entry-level opportunities for college grads. Entry level now is spending 3-5 years in functional roles at other CPG's that Kraft has outsourced.

I worked at Kraft Foods full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

They were always considerate of your wellbeing. Always had good support teams, and safety was a good key factor as well as quality in the manufacturing of their products for consumption.

    Cons

There wasn't too many cons accept some of the upgrades needed for sanitation goes and some safety procedures, but it is a growing process.

I have been working at Kraft Foods as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

The company culture is great. Every one is helpful and rather young so you are able to relate to them easily. You are not tied down to one function so you can move to another function.

    Cons

Advancing within R&D might be hard since relative age is young so the people might be there for a while. Also getting a full time job is hard in packaging if one of the limited positions are not opened.

I have been working at Kraft Foods

    Pros

Good money, fun people, learning, safe, easy, hard, fast, slow

a lot of people involved in your daily job functions, over protective of everything, to many people with to many thoughts on one subject

I have been working at Kraft Foods full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Big company that puts a lot of emphasis on brand strategy, great benefits for little to nothing in terms of out of pocket expenses, nearly limitless opportunity for growth

    Cons

Can seem to get lost in the hustle and bustle, have to be willing to work for a company in which you'll probably never meet the CEO, there are very set ways of doing things and those will not be changed (you'll have to adapt to their ways)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend some time getting to know your employees. It's always nice when a boss' boss knows your name and a few things about a lower-level employee.
