I worked at Krispy Kreme part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Weekly pay, 50% discount while off the clock, doughnuts free while on the clock, taught how to make different beverages and some coworkers.

    Cons

Hours and management. The assistant manager tried to accuse me of stealing $3 from my drawer. Then when I asked her to pull my drawer since I was getting off the clock she got a little attitude. I still don't like her till this very day. The GM's were barely there or descent managers. I only worked once, twice or three times a week for a few hours then went home. Only time I stayed overtime was when the GM asked me to or on KK's birthday.

I worked at Krispy Kreme full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

I enjoy driving being on the road by myself. Talking to customers , telling me how much they enjoyed our product. I also like the company discount.

    Cons

I didn't care for the shift I worked. I had a lot of problems with my truck that wasn't taken care of.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think management need to sometimes listen to enployees about their concerns.

I have been working at Krispy Kreme

    Pros

The best things: You get your first raise after 3 months, and then another shortly after, so that's something great to put on your resumé. You also get to eat doughnuts all you want while you're on the clock. You also get a 50% discount, which is awesome, because McDonald's only gave me a 10% discount. You get your work shoes, for FREE. They also offer incentives such as, you get $1 for every coupon book or calendar you sell! (They DON'T have to pay you for that at all, since you're already supposed to sell their merchandise.) On Christmas, I got a free Turkey, as a gift from Krispy Kreme! You also get paid weekly, instead of bi-weekly.

    Cons

Krispy Kreme is a great company, but things tend to go wrong when dealing with management. I feel like supervisors do most the work, while the Store Manager, or GM, goes on vacation once a month, or every other month. In case you don't understand how awesome that is, that's about 6-12 vacations a year! Also, tons of doughnuts get thrown out; I think it'd be better to donate some to churches, or let the employees take a half-dozen home with them. Now, Krispy Kreme isn't "fast food," it is "retail," because we sell merchandise such as Tshirts, mugs, onsies, caps, and other miscellaneous items. And it does get irritating to I, and the customer when I am forced to offer purchasing our new Vanilla Spice Latte, along with a doughnut hole cup, and topped with our latest gadget, such as the Christmas ornament or our calendars. Now, purchasing any of what I mentioned would either benefit you, or you would greatly thank me for it later. But, when all you came in for was 2 original glazed doughnuts, and I have to ask you to purchase all that before you leave, it does get annoying and frustrating. There are probably more pros than there are cons to Krispy Kreme, but the cons should be reconciled and be noticed by KK, and be fixed if possible.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think it's unfair for supervisors to be written up for going over hours when they fill in for somebody else, when they would also be written up for not filling in for somebody. It makes no sense. I also think supervisors should be rewarded more often, when they practically run the place. I am only a team member, been one for 8 months, but can see the unfairness in which I stated.

    Pros

Great first job, good for students

    Cons

I have been working at Krispy Kreme part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

I like working at krispy kreme because I get to meet and talk to alot of great people. I love to make customers smile. I've learned to come out of my shy shell working with team members and customers, thanks to krispy kreme.

    Cons

Some challenges are meeting the requirments such as dress code have to be to the T or employees will lose money. And on a very busy day moving at a fast paste and still mataining positive mood.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I advise some managers such as my manager at krispy kreme to treat the employees with respect and to not be so hard on us workers, also it would be nice to be rewarded when workers have had a hard day at work, or something simple as "good job everyone" on holidays or on a very busy day. Make sure employees comfortable working with you, never make one feel less then the other. Just an opinion from a employee at krispy kreme. I have experienced these problems from a manager at the krispy kreme I work at.

    Pros

Above average pay most co workers easy to get along with and hard working most of the customers act like there happy to see you when they walk inside.

    Cons

Managers don't treat employee's the fairly lie's are a constant. Use people up and throw them away policy. Promotions seem to go to family members of MGT.

I worked at Krispy Kreme full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

the pay is good once you get a raise and enough hours, and if you work with a good team of people you might actually enjoy work. Good job for college students who dont really know what they want out of life, they also have a KKMT program that pays really well and very easy to get into.

    Cons

The managers in my case towards the end of my time being there. If you get slack managers the store WILL fall apart. Will work on almost every weekend, so be prepared not to have a social life.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The district managers need to stay on the GM's and AGM's more because the slack ones usually like to leave the supervisors to run the shop themselves which how it should not be.

I have been working at Krispy Kreme part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

This is a great position that could really help you build a portfolio and gain contacts.
Company culture is great. People are nice.
    free coffee and doughnuts.

    Cons

Pay is lower than competitive average by a lot. You would make more if you worked at the shop.
Part time 20 hours a week.
You have to have a second job in order to work at this job.
People leave when they find a better paying job and upper management seems just fine with losing all these people each year.
    No benefits.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you value your employees you should pay them. If you want employees to stick around you have to give them full time hours. It's very difficult working with co-workers who don't care because this is "just a part time job".
