Better than other places I have worked

Pharmacy Managerf (Current Employee)

I have been working at Kroger full-time for more than 3 years

ProsGood software support, support for non-traditional pharmacy activities, such as immunizations, MTM, health screenings, etc... Its nice to have additional activities such as these. Some recognition for work well done. Currently additional training for pharmacy management, including Harrison Assessment and leadership training.

ConsPharmacy is not the core business. At times the pace of change can be overwhelming. Company likes "programs" on various themes then moves on, lacking adequate follow-up. Too much "salesmanship" expected at store level. People have a right to expect a pharmacist to be looking out for whats best for them, not trying to meet a sales goal.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop upgrading pharmacy software until you have fixed the current bugs. Many of them have been there since day 1.

very organized company

Software Engineer (Current Employee)
Blue Ash, OH

I have been working at Kroger as a contractor

Prosresponsibilities are well defined. relaxed work environment. divers culture. company has large budget and it is growing, so it recruits sizable number of people. this helps to reduce workload for individuals.

ConsReally cannot find any negatives. tasks are not too challenging at times. Makes it boring. as full time employees, they have to do lots of mandatory visits to stores and sometimes they have to fill many forms..

Advice to Senior Managementsince the company is large with abundant resources, it gets wasteful sometimes.
