Limited Brands is a good company to work for with a degree. But not so much without a degree.

    Sales Support Associate (Former Employee)
    Columbus, OH

ProsShifts are available in the early morning to accommodate those who only have early morning availability.

ConsPeople were often given call-ins, which I believed were used as a means of control. It is possible that you would receive a schedule in which you are given call-ins 5 days out of the week. The ambiguity of a call-in lies in the fact that you wouldn't necessarily know your schedule, but rather the presence of a likelihood of you being needed for work on certain days. This phenomenon can make it difficult to plan. Management was also very unorganized. Sales support associates would frequently receive conflicting directions from different management staff, result in a loss of productivity.

Advice to Senior ManagementBe more organized and respect your employees by giving them solid schedules. Call-ins are not plausible year round, rather only during times of peak sales volume.

ProsI really believe in our Global CEO and the vision that Victoria's Secret is one of the strongest retail brands today.

ConsConstant changes in upper management lead to high turnover, especially amongst individual contributors. Lack of mentoriship and working towards promotions.

ProsRelentlessly innovating. Understands the customer. VS, in particular, has good customer loyalty programs.

Great atmosphere, but not the best for career development

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsThere are some great people who work at Limited Brands and the culture is very relaxed and flexible. The buildings are gorgeous and there's a Starbucks and sometimes a product store on site. It's a great place to start your career, given the reputation behind the brand.

ConsHowever, most people get stuck in the same role for years or burn out from capacity. There's seems to be absolutely no succession structure within the firm.

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't have an intern program if you're not going to have anywhere to place them.
