Good health benefits, employee discount, fun place to work

    Cons

Upper management, work-life balance, no growth in position

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promote those who work hard and smart. Have seen many a few who get promoted who talk a lot, hang out with management guys after hours,f riends on facebook or even go out to smoke together.

I have been working at L Brands full-time

    Pros

The environment is very casual and inviting. L Brands plays a big part in the community and values people that contribute. The benefits are fantastic, including medical, dental, vision, and employee discount to retail stores. Mr. Wexner is very involved and is seen walking around the buildings. They value cross training and giving their front line/hourly associates room for growth.

    Cons

They eliminate jobs quickly without notice or explanation. L Brands values inclusion, but I found that was not necessarily true. The corporate world is very political, if you are in a leadership role you must find a mentor and at times have to make decisions that are not morally correct. But, that is all a personal opinion and depends on an individuals ethics and morals.

I worked at L Brands full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

A great company with a positive vibe, and really cares about its employees. This is a very intellectually challenging work environment but also has a great work-life balance. They often have fun team activities and events to promote team building and passion among employees.

    Cons

Be careful who you work for. This can be a great environment, but the opinions and efforts of people in junior-level positions are not valued.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Junior-level employees need more time & development conversations with those at the senior-level. Otherwise, they get no exposure, and those of the senior level can never get a realistic view of the VERY hard work being done.

I worked at L Brands as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

It's a young, exciting, rewarding atmosphere! People were always there to support me and answer any questions I had.

    Cons

The teams are not as warm and welcoming as I had hoped. As a new person to New York, I was hoping to go to happy hour with my coworkers and meet new friends at work, but that wasn't the case. When work ended, everyone went on their separate ways.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My experience with HR was less than favorable. I had to hunt down my HR rep, and when we did have a meeting, she had to change it 3 times and then showed up late.

I have been working at L Brands

    Pros

Flexible, I worked while taking classes and they were always willing to accommodate my schedule.

    Cons

It was retail and at a not so nice location.

  8.

Not the type of culture I enjoyed. If you want to be stuck in high school cliques then maybe this is the place for you.

I worked at L Brands as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

The perks are great: the thing I miss the most is the discount and employee sales. They also had Starbucks in some of their offices which was nice.

    Cons

People are too busy to make time to help you on projects, and a lot of my projects got cut because there was not enough people to get them going.

    Pros

Great benefits, I met some very nice & talented people, the work was interesting & challenging

    Cons

You need to brown-nose in order to advance, you need to drink the kook-aid in order to advance, so many people in upper management positions have worked here and NOWHERE else, so there is no other experience to draw from. There is no individuality. HR is useless.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would give advice, but nobody listens.
