Former Employee – worked at L'Oréal full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Top tier marketing talent and big budgets within beauty industry; exposure to global product development and business strategy; robust employee training programs; free product
Cons – long hours, high-stress environment; can be difficult to move up if you are not French or have not worked in France

Former Employee – worked at L'Oréal full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – L'Oreal is an incredibly entrepreneurial place where you can gain a tremendous amount of experience.
Cons – Perhaps lacking in modernity and really behind when it comes to technology.
Advice to Senior Management – Look outside the L'Oreal group for inspiration and be more connected to the local community.

Current Employee – been working at L'Oréal as an intern for less than a year
Pros – Good mentors (depending on brand)
Get to be treated like a full-timer (which is good, always better to have work than to have no work)
Get real projects
Steep learning curve
Cons – No work life balance
Long working hours
Tight deadlines, stressful nature of job
Extremely fast paced
Advice to Senior Management – Please employ more work life balance for full-time employees. They seriously deserve a better working environment.

Former Employee – worked at L'Oréal as an intern for less than a year
Pros – Worked with the Helena Rubinstein team, very nice team and extremely competent and caring boss.
Cons – Lack of time for me to really enter into the task due to the limited time of my internship.
Others in other departments did not share my positive experience so think it really depends on which team and brand you are working in

Current Employee – been working at L'Oréal full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – Very open and vibrant culture, truly democratic in decisionmaking, not much office politics, senior management very respectful to juniors, efficient middle management
Cons – Very flshy, takes things on face value, highly perception driven, takes decision based on "Who" aspect rather than "what", top management in India not very capable,
Advice to Senior Management – Takes some good people in Country top management from outside. Devise mechanism to identify talent instead of going by perception, takes decision based on merit of the case and not by who has done it

Current Employee – been working at L'Oréal full-time for more than a year
Pros – - Lot's of experience - As an intern/trainee you can advance very fast to responsible assignments that are done by Senior middle-management in other companies
- Fast career advance
- No boundaries and lot's of opportunities to try out different fields - it is no problem to go from Finance to Purchasing/Procurement and vice versa, however moving from Finance to Marketing, although possible, is not so often to be seen
- Very dynamic
Cons – - No work-life balance
- A lot of stress, very fast changing of situations, L'Oréal chaos
- You have to be be fluent French to get to management positions
- Most of the time you aŕe rather a Firefighter than a Financial Controller
- Lower salaries than the competition
- Also incompetent employees can reach responsible positions only by waiting long enough
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
