I have been working at L&T Infotech full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

You get to work with some of the world's largest clients Strong focus on technology

    Cons

Extremely poor employment practices. Employees are made to incur personal costs due to mistakes made by the company and this is the official policy. Several such policies differ across countries because they are considered illegal in the United States and other developed countries Almost no financial growth. There are no raises for onsite employees and salaries remain the same for years despite excellent ratings The appraisal system is a farce. Your ratings can be drastically changed by people who have never interacted with you and do not work in your area. Very poor career prospects outside of a core technical role. Project management is considered to be an optional overhead and many projects do not have managers, neither does the company support it as a career path

    Advice to Management

The company currently operates like a middleman between a developer and the client, adding little to no value. Focus on better project management and revisit the archaic and ineffective processes that are currently in place. Reward talent to motivate employees and encourage better performance. Fear may be an effective control mechanism in the short term but damaging in the long run.
