    I worked at LSE part-time

    Pros

I worked in a research centre at LSE and greatly enjoyed my time there. The staff is passionate and dedicated about their research. The schools is in a beautiful location and the centre is always up to date with the best technology.

    Cons

Being in the centre of the city of London, transportation can get expensive. Additionally, pubs and restaurants surrounding the area are also very pricey.

    Pros

The professors are all at the forefront of their academic fields and generally have their own publications. There is a great amount of diversity, which gives it a truly universal feel. I worked for the Student's Union and they are by far the most influential group on campus and are constantly planning events throughout the year. Working for LSE is a great way to complement your studies and is a huge resume booster if you're doing research.

    Cons

Sometimes the teaching load can be tough

    Pros

The office culture is very supportive, and management knows how to bring out the best of each individual. That removed a lot of stress and made the job very pleasant.

    Cons

I can't think of anything, except for the break room was too small! Plus, I was on a short-term contract, and it had to end!

    Advice to Management

    Keep on doing.

    Pros

Has a solid set pay structure with generous annual leave (especially considering the additional school closure at Easter and Christmas). Provides plenty of opportunities to learn with grants offered if you want to pursue any courses or training in your spare time.

    Cons

Each department feels like it operates on its own. Results in very little interaction and coordination with inconsistent policies across departments.
