I have been working at LSI full-time

    Pros

Good mobility, good pay, stock appreciation

    Cons

Demanding schedules, few perks, and benefits are just good enough

    Advice to Management

Try to balance the workload and not run so lean.

I worked at LSI full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Leading edge technology, and a fast paced environment.

    Cons

Senior management overcommitting to customer requests. While not necessarily a bad thing, it dissolves the need for Program Management's schedules.

    Pros

Excellent place to work, leadership investing in technology and not afraid to stand back and let employees do the work. People oriented company with great benefits, competitive pay, and an understanding for work-life balance.

    Cons

Unfortunately, LSI was purchased back in May of 2014, and the new management has made some changes...

I worked at LSI full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

I was with LSI for more than 7.5 years. It was best company I have ever worked with. Very employee friendly, research oriented, Good technical knowledge building and sharing, nice work environment.

    Cons

Local management in INDIA centers have some biasing toward particular individual. This affected hard working individual contributors with technical ladder path.

    Advice to Management

LSI was never "an Avago Tech Company". This name was chosen for temporary duration (Deal announcement to day one at Avago). Please revert back to LSI on all website. Let Avago carry their own name.

I worked at LSI full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

LSI offered good benefits. LSI has very talented employees; the most talented of all the companies I've worked with. Employees are willing to work with you. Despite its size, LSI was able to adjust to changes in the market and industry to stay competitive. Middle management is very accessible.

    Cons

Some groups lack organization and structure, which I think reduces their productivity. There is little communication between groups which causes some things to fall through the cracks. The "Cons" listed above were even more evident after the Avago acquisition. Avago business units seem to have little communication, let along coordination, between each other.

    Advice to Management

Improve communication and coordination between business units.
