    Pros

The benefits are good and the facilities are very well maintained.

    Cons

There were many cliques. It was difficult to have a clear vision when the management structure changed at least twice per year. Human resources was downsized, then they brought in a new employee? Worked an excessive amount with very little recognition.

    Advice to Management

Sending jobs offshore has had a detrimental effect on the ability to react quickly. The efficiency of the staff did not meet expectations. No opportunities for professional training due to workload.

    Pros

There are some really great people that work for Lattice. It is a very tight community, and there are a lot of opportunities to learn and travel.

    Cons

They have sent many jobs overseas. Management turnover is very high. It seemed like every quarter there were layoffs and it was very unstable and stressful. Darin (the CEO) had pretty much replaced every high level manager with someone else, many of whom he was buddies with from different companies. It really gave a message that it was more important who you were friends with versus how hard you worked. It's also not a great place to work as a female...

    Pros

    - Portland area a good place to live - Field sales and applications engineers are the best - Nice home office building in Hillsboro

    Cons

    - Latest CEO has a mission to move most functions offshore (Darin Billerbeck) - People in support groups were great, but have ALL been laid off - CEO last at Zilog where he was rewarded for doing the same thing (downsizing)

    Advice to Management

There is a difference between cutting fat and amputation of limbs. Company will never be the same as a result. Success is by no means assured.

    Pros

The people you work with are friendly and are dedicated to the company. The company work/life balance is good. Ample opportunities for charitable work, and corporate social events.

    Cons

Compensation has remained stagnant for several years, with goal based bonuses meant to motivate. Company has had 7-8 different CEO's and associated churn within ~10yr span. Corporate slogans, but no corporate culture. Market strategy for future growth uninspiring.

    Advice to Management

Companies require employees to achieve corporate goals. Too many expensive executive level hires occurred. Eliminating positions to control costs is suspect following an expensive rebranding process. Do more to keep your employees. Do more to keep them engaged. Keeping employees is less expensive than hiring and training new ones.
