    Pros

    Owners have a great vision of where they want the company to go.

    Cons

    The Shelton office needs a MAJOR overhaul of top management.
    The acting director has no clue how to motivate staff.
    There really is no where to move up to.
    No trust that upper management has your best interest in mind.
    Owners busy growing the business but not seeing how poor management is killing morale

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Stop making it so obvious that you play favorites.
    Owners need to change out senior management before there is no asset left to sell to potential clients. No staff, no calls get made!

    Pros

    A laid back place to work. Great co-workers.

    Cons

    Not much in creative or design work. More of a marketing chop shop, where the employees are paid poorly and expected to provide top level SEO. Emphasis is on making money and not much in creativity.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pay your employees well and take more chances with design that could pay exponentially in the future.

    I have been working at LeadQual

    Pros

    Good hours (40-45 max), you get to sit in a cushy chair (if you like that), and a VERY fun group of young people. Also, free snacks, bagel Fridays, a foosball table, and video games for breaks.

    If you do have to work late, you get a free $10 dinner.

    Some employees do end up at Google, but they're still in search engine marketing-related jobs.

    Cons

    Extremely boring work, not a lot of opportunity afterwards, no real sense of accomplishment. Pay is only OK, and fringe benefits are minimal.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    More budget for snacks, we run out too quickly. Initiate some kind of 401k/matching plan. Develop a clear promotion system with formal reviews.

    Pros

    People are young and fun to work with. Occasional fun company trips. People are generally very open and helpful. Good place to get your foot in the door.

    Cons

    No 401K, low salary, no stock option, company seems to be out of touch with what Bay Area standards in a company are, boring work, mediocre benefits, lack of real management, low morale due to all of the above, no real rewards/compensation system in place which leads to no real motivation to work beyond the bare minimum, low retention rate.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Listen to your analysts and their complaints. Take note of how other Bay Area companies treat their employees and follow suit.

    Pros

    Work stays at the office, evenings and weekends belong to you. Free snacks, employees are young, many recent grads

    Cons

    This is a place where you feel like a cog in the machine. Little emphasis on employee growth, and few to little career growth options. Upper management is out of touch with the needs of the analysts, and the work is fairly mundane day to day.

    Medium sized successful company still being run as if it were on a startup budget. Employees underpaid for what they do. While company is growing, few improvements for analysts and entry level positions. High turn over rate, no 401k.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Provide a platform for employees to voice their needs and opinions, feedback can only make the company better. Focus on retaining existing employees and making LeadQual a long term career option rather than just a stepping stone.
