    Pros

Legacy Health has great benefits, and the people who are working in the trenches are great.

    Cons

Legacy Heath dose not utilize their employees to their full potential.
Legacy Health employees work in silos,
Rather hire outside of company instead of promoting within.
    Poor moral.

    Advice to Management

Instead of saying you are listening to your employees why don't you really listen?

    Pros

Stable work environment and flexible schedule. 401k match.

    Cons

Be sure to negotiate your salary up front or you will get stuck creeping along at a dismal 3% for the rest of your time in the job classification. Compensation is not merit based, so you have to be self-motivated.Due to budget cuts a few years back, they expect a lot out of each employee- so be ready to bring your A game all day every day. Tried to get re-classed as my workload and responsibilities changed significantly and does not reflect the job title, but was told no.

    Advice to Management

Consider merit based pay or a livable wage increase - .20-.30 a year doesn't stretch very far. Don't forget the worker bees, we all work hard for our money even though we don't have RN or MD after our names.

    Pros

As it was a research job, the hours were fairly flexible and the benefits were good. The people were great and had a sense of satisfaction with the work they were doing.

    Cons

Smaller research institution, so the grant funding was not as significant as other larger institutions. This mean that the pool of projects to work on was limited, as well as their scope.

    Pros

Everyone is nice at Legacy facilities. There seems to be good comradery between physicians and staff, with a less formal feeling than at other institutions in the area.

    Cons

The pay is low for the area. The executive management doesn't make good decisions. They lose their best doctors as a result. Some of the doctors they promote in their media don't practice standard of care. This makes it difficult to take their medical care seriously.

    Advice to Management

Win back your great doctors. Take some risks. Listen to your employees. Be careful about who you promote in the media, because it is wide local knowledge that one of your "stars" practices outside the standard of care. The rest of the community has to deal with the problems caused by this physician's poor judgment masquerading as avant-garde care. This is widely known except, it seems, at Legacy.
