Senior Accountant (Current Employee) Irving, TX

ProsFree goodies like sodas and snacks and free lunch for end month close if you work in Accounting.

ConsPersonal / sick time is up to you manager so it could be really good or not good at all.

Advice to Senior ManagementPay is good but life balance is important and to establish a good personal/ sick time policy should be a priority.

    great company with great opportunity

Administrative Assistant (Current Employee) Birmingham, AL

ProsIt has a great benefits package and the people are great to work for. They are family orientated and consider their employees their best asset.

ConsThey have to report to management in the home office way to much, just to get approvals to purchase trivial items regularily needed for job function

Advice to Senior ManagementTry to keep memo's and useless meeting to a minimum. All they tend to do is prevent employees from doing their jobs.

Great place to start your professional career, terrific learning experience.

Accounts Payable (Current Employee) Union Bridge, MD

ProsGreat learning experience. Great tuition reimbursement policy. Really great coworkers, they are all very intelligent and hardworking. Flexible schedule as long as you attempt to put in your 40 hours in and don't make a habbit of missing work.

ConsDirect supervisor has little to do with wage increases. No appreciation for personal sacrifices. No room for advancement at this location. Corporate makes decisions and implements policies without including the individual locations. They act as if your skills and knowledge of your job are useless. They expect you to work extremely hard on poorly planned projects that are geared towards eliminating your position. Side note: The environment is very bad for your car's paint.

Advice to Senior ManagementListen to your employees when they have something to say. Put yourself in their shoes. Reward GOOD behavior and hardwork, not whinning and complaining. Make sure that everyone is being treated equally. Send HR to some morale boosting seminars!

Not bad if you don't want to move up.

    Plant Staff (Former Employee)

ProsSchedule flexibility, vacation and personal time growth.

ConsSalary increases are only a maximum of 3% per year unless you get a promotion. Training is almost non-existent. You get treated better if you know the right people (which I did). Health insurance is terrible.

Advice to Senior ManagementGo back to the old health insurance plan and reinstate some of the incentives that were taken away over the last 3 years. Also look into a merit based salary increase system that is actually based on merit.

    No good for consultants

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Delta, BC (Canada)

ProsI get flex hours, not too much work to do, very considerate manager

ConsGot only 1 raise in 10 years.. not fair wages to me compare to other consultants

Advice to Senior ManagementTREAT EVERYONE THE SAME PLEASE, IN WAGES I MEAN.
