Pros***Everything here pertains to the IS Department***
-Work/Life balance is excellent, do your work, then go home
-Stable place to work
-Excellent place for clinical staff who want a change
-Co-workers are fairly laid back
-Encouraged to explore different applications and roles within IS

Cons-Oncall Rotation - When you are on it is 24/7
-Project Management specific - The IS Department is a very functional organization
-Can be boring and not too challenging

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep the comfortable atmosphere and enjoyable environment, but try to provide opportunities for people to move outside the IS department if they wish.

Former Employee – worked at Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network part-time for less than a year

Pros- Usually great co-workers
- Taught by nurses while working, they don't snub their noses at you
- okay pay, good benefits

ConsBetter not to work in the Float Pool section if you like to know where you are going to be working everyday. But then again it was interesting getting to work on different floors, I wish I would have got to choose a floor then.
-Worked hard all day without much of a break doing the work of the CNA,LPN, and Technical Partner, phlebotomist, ect.
- Sometimes not enough staff on each floor.
