    Good Company to Work for.

Operations Supervisor (Current Employee) Phoenix, AZ

ProsLennox has very good Medical Benefits compared to other companies in the HVAC industry.
Training and learning are becoming more of a focus, which is great to be a part of.
Good opportunities to grow with the company.

ConsLennox, like most large companies can lose sight of the individual. Sometimes people are left in positions just because of longevity, not because of their ability or expertise.

Advice to Senior ManagementIt would be good for management, especially senior, to make sure all of their direct reports are really doing what is best for Lennox and their employees. Managers need to remember they work with people, not products.

    Working at Lennox

Senior Engineer (Current Employee) Dallas, TX

ProsBeside's current management changes at Lennox, It is a nice place to work. It's not like Googgle or other hitech Companies. BUt compare to other places that I work for, Lennox is in the top.

ConsSince the Company is old company, there a lot of employees who are not into new technology or ideas. I guess poeple do not want a change.

Advice to Senior ManagementMy advice to management is hire more young people, and retrain the old engineers. I do thank you for investing R&D while the economy was in recession. Keep up the good investment in R&D.

    Totally different company today.

    Sales (Current Employee) Dallas, TX

ProsThe people are amazing. The organization has had a legacy of being dedicated to providing top quality and industry leading products.

ConsSenior Management is out of touch with customers and market. Unfortunately, this is reflected in the current performance of the company.

Advice to Senior ManagementGaither and analyze customer, competitive, and market data from the frontline soldiers to drive decisions. Stop allowing data to be interpreted to validate decisions that have already been made or implemented.

    Lennox

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsLennox has a reputation for integrity, excellence, and quality. This is found in the development, manufacturing ad distribution of the Lennox products.

ConsWithin a larger corporation, some performance recognition and reward is lost. I do not have any additional negative feedback to provide.

Advice to Senior ManagementI do not have any advice to management to provide.

Terrible place to work-Run like the Dickens

    Benefits (Current Employee) Richardson, TX

    ProsCentrally located to DFW,nice building,good benefits,good pay

ConsNot a place for diverse candidates, the manager is terrible and has been for years..Everyone knows it but noone is willing to reconcile their error of ever hiring this person. The HR team as a whole to work for is pretty terrible-they have had the OFCCP sitting on site many times because of the lack of diverse employees throughout the company..The systems are old and their money is too-they will pay for the skillset but once you are in-beware they treat you like bubblegum on the back of a shoe.No work/life balance-hopefully the new family in charge makes some tremendous changes otherwise they will continue to be the backwoods,good-ole boy network that it always has been.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet a D/I person, devote yourself to being representative of the business/families you serve and make your workforce resemble the same.Stop segregating the cafeteria-come into the 21st century, make realistic expectations, get rid of your seasoned, senior HR people and get fresh talent in the door from the HR coordinator doing the terrible orientation to the Trainer...It;s time!

use caution if considering a job with Lennox

SOX Coordinator/ERS Coordinator (Current Employee) Des Moines, IA

ProsGreat company to work for. Most people with the company are in for the long haul. That is one thing that attracted me to Lennox.

Conscurrent state of corporate reorganization, just found out that my Des Moines office will be no longer as of 2010.

Advice to Senior ManagementI hope that the move to split distribution into smaller regions works out, along with the storefronts. If it does not, it could be catastrophic for the company as a whole!

LennoX is a pretty cool place to work

Design Engineer5 (Current Employee) Carrollton, TX

ProsLennox has lots of opportunities to learn all different aspects of the HVAC industry. There is enough work to keep you busy, but not so much that you cannot learn a new skill set in the process. Management was always willing to work with everyone and was always encouraging attending school, classes or seminars. They always tried to be fair in their assements of employees. Everyone seemed to get along very well, not a lot of small groups plotting against one another or back stabbing going on. Overall it was a really pleasant place to work. I kick myself for leaving.

ConsThe work can be a bit predictable and some of the processes are slow

Advice to Senior ManagementContiune to support and help your employees grow and develop their skills.

    LENNOX SUCKS

Junior Marketing Executive (Current Employee) Carrollton, TX

ProsI don't want to change jobs. Comfortable here, for now, close to home.

    ConsNo employee support
You have no leader if you swim it is because of your "great" department head
If you sink it is because you didn't pay attention or do your job

Advice to Senior ManagementLet your employees in on their job future. Make realistic goals for projects. Handing me a 125 page report and telling me to summerize it and have it done by 5, when it is already 3. Allow people to grow within the commpany, allow them to fail, allow them to experience what it is that is needed.
    Give recognition when due.
Respect ALL workers, from the copy room to the pres. Let eveyone know they are an important part of the LENNOX family
Don't have us lie to clients of your family members when you suddenly disappear for the afternoon.
Give workers the same respect we are expected to give upper mgt.
