    Pros

Great company to work for, great group of people.

    Cons

Only drawback was level of training

    Advice to Management

Need to focus on the off site branches and get the training to them.

    Pros

It is a large corporation. They have branches all around the world. You will be able to learn how the whole structure works.

    Cons

You have certain responsibilities, sometimes it is hard to be creative or work on different things.

    Pros

The DSG is a fast-paced work environment with a strong group of team players. Benefits and salary are good. Training at the local level is good.

    Cons

Like any company the focus is on the bottom line not employees. However the management at the local level is fair and invested in their employees for the most part.

    Pros

Paid internship - Weekly Very hands on experience - great way to learn about the industry. Challenging experience which has made me a much better and more confident designer The opportunity to work and collaborate with Stoll USA during an intern project Experience entire design process from research and trend, specing and development, showroom prep to final designs.

    Cons

Very long working days Quite intense at times, depending on account you work in - must be good at multi-tasking and time keeping and must be very organised. Quite un-organised company structure - you have a lot of responsibility and spend a lot of time organising and tidying. I had a great experience in the account i was in and was a fantastic learning experience but wasn't the same case for other interns - very dependent on which account you get assigned to. Get relied on A LOT but not always appreciated! The designer i worked for was very supportive but the company in general didn't provide great support.

    Advice to Management

Consider possible job opportunities post-graduation. Better development/progression feedback and better support.

    Pros

Li and Fung has many great employees. The New York office is modern and a fun place to work for.

    Cons

Focus on driving revenue adds pressure to middle-management to meet quota. Also, I wish there had been more interaction between LF USA brands

    Advice to Management

Management did a good job at reaching out to interns and asking how they thought things were going. Advice for them would be to keep doing this!

    Doesn't Recommend
    Doesn't Recommend

    Pros

They have up to date design computer software, an effective and knowledgeable IT department, a budget for extensive travel if you work your way up the ladder, and several different kinds of departments in house, such as graphic lab and sewing room, so you don't have to outsource most things

    Cons

Virtually no help from HR, massive layoffs every year, revolving door type of company, promotions and raises promised and never granted, or granted only to management's favorites, dark offices with no windows inside, late hours, lack of positive vibe and general enthusiasm. Not well managed as tasks are always off schedule and late and workers are made to spend a lot of time on projects that really weren't a priority.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to your worker's needs and level of happiness.
