it was the best of times; it was the worst of times...

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Chanhassen, MN

ProsThe energy and attitude of the club staffers is infectious! My co-workers were great; a hard-working, but fun-loving group that never lost sight of a good life/work balance.

ConsSome people in the upper management team are very intense and do not like to hear opinions that are different than their own.

Advice to Senior ManagementYou have some great people working for you. Listen to what they have to say.

    Great Company

Sales Advisor (Former Employee) Chanhassen, MN

ProsThe perks and the people are amazing! Getting paid to workout is always a great option.

ConsManagement doesn't always communicate their expectations and goals. A mentorship program should be more than listening to one's phone calls on occasion.

Advice to Senior ManagementGive more empowerment to employees and be more approachable when an employee needs help.

    Energetic, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Chanhassen, MN

ProsYou'll never be bored. The goals we help members' achieve is rewarding and motivating. A lot of interesting and exciting initiatives on a regular basis. New ideas and ways of doing things is strongly encouraged.

ConsSometimes difficult and challenging to manage workload and priorities due to the volume of what needs to get done and with many initiatives going on at once. Extremely short turn-around times on projects and pivots in direction are common and part of the culture.

    – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

I was part of a family at LTF.

Sales Advisor (Former Employee) Chanhassen, MN

ProsWorking at Life Time was a great experience. Even in down times with sales slumping the atmosphere stayed competitive and friendly. Management was always around to help and answer questions and one never felt separated from the group. Great working environment. Would go back in a heartbeat.

ConsHigh stress in sales with long hours, sometimes the job just couldn't get done in terms of quotas.
