I have been working at Life Time Fitness

    Pros

Great proximity to my home, flexibility to leave for family issues. Reduced membership after years of paying family rate.

    Cons

Many members in management including leadership positions have a high school mentaility. Truly corporate environment, people who have worked here for years are in positions of management with no true management experience. Compensation is lower than comparable positions but I guess free membership is supposed to make up for that???

I worked at Life Time Fitness part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Free membership, reduced prices for family, training if you need it and support for passing personal training tests

    Cons

It would be nice if management was more responsive to employees needs for time off, and for other personal needs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing what you are doing but try to keep your employees needs in mind. Extra training that is optional would go a long way. Especially for new hires.

I have been working at Life Time Fitness part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Awesome facilities and members. Truly a superior fitness club in the Minneapolis area. All employees are professional and really seem to care about the club.

    Cons

A lot of hoops to jump through to get employed and stay employed. Online learning is required every so often if you would like to remain an employee. Many times it can be repetitive information that can be timely and monotonous at times.

I have been working at Life Time Fitness part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Getting to work with kids and explore a passion there. Ability to have a job where your job is to have fun and express that fun with younger people.

    Cons

So much work. Minimum wage, limited hours on occasion due to overstaffing. Management would promote sexual partners and friends over other individuals. Free gym membership was great

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Higher pay. At least a dollar over minimum wage guys.

I have been working at Life Time Fitness part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Nice facilities, structured, negotiable pay, fun co-employess, flexible scheduling, free membership, discounts within the facility, easy to transfer in to different departments

    Cons

Unnecessarily strict rules, high turnover rate in the management (5 different bosses in my 2 year employment), required employee clothing is expensive, some members are extremely rude to employees
