    Fun place to work

Summer Camp Counselor (Current Employee) Colleyville, TX

ProsNice facilities, structured, negotiable pay, fun co-employess, flexible scheduling, free membership, discounts within the facility, easy to transfer in to different departments

ConsUnnecessarily strict rules, high turnover rate in the management (5 different bosses in my 2 year employment), required employee clothing is expensive, some members are extremely rude to employees

Advice to Senior ManagementMore promotions from within rather than bringing in new people with no experience in the club

    Child care

Child Center Team Member (Former Employee) Romeoville, IL

ProsThe free membership when I worked there was probably the best part of working there.

ConsWhile I fully understand making customers happy there were times that members were way beyond rude to staff. Management usually never stuck up for staff who were wrongly treated.

Advice to Senior ManagementStand behind staff more.

7 Year Life Time Fitness Employee

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsI am very lucky in the position that I am in, working with the people on my team. Great place to work, as you get a free membership. They always take you back for school breaks (if you are a college student) and have good standings with them.

ConsVery poor execution of everything. They are all about selling memberships, but not about making their employees happy. There is a revolving door of management. Never get raises.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsGreat Place to work if you understand your position and are willing to learn your position.

ConsIf you have a family or are in school the job becomes difficult.Lots of hours

Advice to Senior ManagementDont promote solely on numbers. Leaders are born fro leading the way through teamwork just as much as nubers.

    Swim Instructor

Swim Instructor (Former Employee) Alpharetta, GA

ProsSo much fun to work with kids and adults. It feels so good to train week after week and see a child or adult go from being scared to loving the water. Lifetime gives you excellent training, including how to teach different types of learning styles (visual, auditory, etc.). You are pretty much your own boss and can teach the class in the style YOU would like to teach them.

ConsSpend a couple hours at a time in chlorine killed me hair/skin. Also not a lot of hours, I worked at most 15 to 20 (this could be either a pro or a con depending on what you are looking for.) Pay is decent, about $12/hr. Again, this could be a pro if you are new to teaching and a con if you are highly seasoned and are expecting more pay.

Advice to Senior ManagementGreat! Maybe consider giving raises for people with more experience or people who bring in clients.
