I worked at Limited Brands full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Large company offers support and infrastructure smaller companies lack. Had opportunities to move between opportunities and stay fresh.
Cons – Can sometimes be too corporate. Culture is important but can be used to shut down conversations as well as foster them.

I worked at Limited Brands full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – The pros of working for Limited Brands were the relationships I built with my co-workers, the apparel and merchandise discounts at VS and Bath & Body, and the building cafes.
Cons – They characterize their culture as "high-performance", but their expectations sometimes outweigh the physically possible.
Advice to Senior Management – Continue to reward your individual contributors, even if they are the one's keeping the lights on for you.

I have been working at Limited Brands full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – This company's compensation and the benefits (401k and medical) are outstanding. The company take cares of its people and more with many encouragement channels to give back to the community especially with its cancer research at the OSU and the James. There are many opportunities to learn and grow if you chooses to. Many people are very friendly (but you need to be friendly first) and is open to share what they know. If you ask, most will gladly to "onboard" you on what they do and teach it to you. That goes to say, only if you can handle your own work to start being curious about other's work which will enable you to gain more experience.
As for promotion and growth. There are many opportunities but you need to put in the time and hard work. It doesn't come just because you have worked there for years. As a matter of fact, if you plan to grow with the company and move up, you must have a positive attitude with a super curiosity to learn, manage your own workload and to be able to inspire.
Cons – There are many "senior/seasoned" people that thinks they own the place. Their attitude could be checked for a better working relationship. Some things they are entitle to promotion or respect just because they have been there for a long time. Nevertheless, if you can get over those working relationship, the experience can be very fruitful.
Advice to Senior Management – There is a lot of work, but taking time out to touch base with your team on an off site environment helps a lot. This will create relationship building, growth through spending time outside of work and seeing your coworker outside of the office creates a special bond. I would suggest doing a volunteering event.
The senior upper management should have a touch base with the little guys to know what is happening tactically with their team. Some time having a breakfast or lunch together is a nice touch.
One last advice is to ensure that the title of the position are empowered. There are tons of meeting in a week and almost all level of staff are in it for transparency. Time can be more efficient if it is driven from top down vs. an all-the-time all inclusive environmental. Some times, work just need to be told and get it done. No need for "everyone" to brainstorm a solution. That's what the leadership is there to direct and the little guys do :).

I have been working at Limited Brands full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – I've met some wonderful people and learned quite a bit at my job. Pay and benefits are great, and work/life balance is something that the company strives for. Well-known brands, encouraged to find new and better ways to do things.
Cons – Change is constant, to the point where one wonders if any thought is being put in up front. It seems to be impossible for management to have tough conversations when someone isn't carrying their weight. Problems get swept under the rug instead of being addressed. Management is so distracted trying to make numbers look good to appease higher ups that they have no time for their teams and lose touch with what's going on. If you do not want to be in management, there are no career development programs to keep you engaged.
Advice to Senior Management – Find the right level of engagement (not micro managing, but not completely hands off). Set expectations clearly, and hold team members to them. Listen to the team's frustrations, and try to make the situation better.

I worked at Limited Brands full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Generous cross-brand employee discount, generally nice folks in corporate office. If you work for a brand (Victoria's Secret, Bath & Body Works or Henri Bendel) there are great product perks and employee recognition. If you work for "the center" aka in a role that supports the entire enterprise, little to no recognition.
Cons – Slow to new ideas, behind in technology. I've worked in the corporate office and in the field. Two totally different cultures. Field lacks coordination, organization and retention. Corporate is is not open to new ideas or strategies. Both settings ask for a lot of work and overtime, salary is not worth it.
